The Grand Café - Situated alongside the atrium's meandering lagoon, this casual restaurant serves American fare for breakfast and lunch.

Cure Bar & Bistro - Relax with family, friends and business associates in an atmosphere reminiscent of a rustic lodge. The multi-level Cure Bar & Bistro features high ceilings, stone and oak walls, and open fireplace. The menu is seasonal and includes a presentation of light fare and four-course meals along with a large selection of wine, beer and spirits. “great location! friendly staff!”

even though we had requested a king size bed, they could not satisfy our request for our first night and offered to send up free champagne and to change our room the next night. a couple of negatives: parking was expensive and not included in the price, no cups in bathroom, no free internet, and no bath robes. but overall, it was a fantastic hotel and would stay there again. great location!

Very good location to visit Washington by subway only . Clean and confortable. I did not understand why the STARBUCKS inside is closed in the Afternoon

“Close to everything”

The hotel is a short walking distance from Museum of Natural Science. On the way you can check out Fords Theater were Lincoln was shot. Staff was very helpful with directions and recommendations. Buffett was very good and worth the 20$. Only bad thing was that the self parking was full and had to pay 40$ a day for parking.

“Planning our next visit”

The location is outstanding, being right on top of Metro Center made traveling around to the attractions very simple. The hotel is large so be prepared for a hike to get to your room. There are very few places to eat right near the hotel so if you don't eat while you're out you are stuck eating there. The food is fair but expensive, plan to eat while you're out and about. Staff very friendly and helpful, very knowledgeable and fun. There is a Starbuck's right in the lobby so that was very convenient in the morning.

When to go

We were there over Thanksgiving and had the city to ourselves. Easy to get tickets to theater, museums weren't crowded, etc... Weather was good too, warm enough to enjoy without a heavy coat.

Getting around

Beware, the majority of taxicabs do not take credit cards and you aren't aware of this until you arrive at your destination and find you don't have enough cash. The cab drivers are not friendly, in fact they border on hostile. Do yourself a favor and take the metro.

Dining

Don't miss Founding Farmers. Outstanding food, great atmosphere, reasonable prices.

“Very impressed”

We loved the grand Hyatt. Good location for many sights, restaurants, Metro. Would go back. Thanksgiving weekend a good time to visit DC, not as crowded.

“One of DC's Best!”

Easy, friendly check-in. This hotel is centrally located. The Metro Center stop is accessible from within the hotel itself. Many first class restaurants are right downstairs. When I stay in DC, this will be the only place I stay!

Area recommendations

Georgetown for shopping. Downtown for American history. Too many things to do in Washington.

When to go

Spring for the cherry blossoms. Fall for the beautiful weather. Don't go in the summer. Washington is known for it's oppressive summers.

Getting around

Take the Metro! DC's subway is clean, safe, and easy to use.

“GREAT Hotel IN DC”
