“Very impressed”
Doubletree Guest Suites Washington is a perfect place to stay if you're visiting Washington DC. It's located four minutes from the metro, and the Mall is even accessible on foot. The suite is very comfortable, with plenty of space. The only thing that was not working properly when we were there was the dishwasher, but that was soon put right. I would definitely recommend Doubletree Guest Suites Washington to anyone.
“A Great Experience”
I really like this hotel. It offers a great deal of room for easy comfort of four people. The rooms have plenty of space, and its nice to have a "family" area and a "sleeping" area. The kitchen is nice to have with small children. The location is great, with just a very short walk to subway. If you are staying the whole time in D.C., we found a car is not necessary with the location of this hotel. I definately recommend it to all travelers.
“DC FUN”
The room was super comfy & it was great having the full kitchen. The only thing that I didnt like was that they hotel advised that expedia's information regarding the breakfast wrong wrong. there is no breakfast that's included, it's just regular room service. But, otherwise, it was wonderful. Bed was super comfy & room was clean and nicely decorated. Staff was very friendly and helpful. 1/2 block from the Metro was the best...especially after a long day of walking DC.

“Excellent hotel for families.”
The suite was spacious, the beds comfy and all the staff extremely helpful and pleasant with a can do attitude.No query was too much trouble.The swimming pool on the roof is small but after a hot day sightseeing was lovely.We were able to plug our mp3 player into the alarm clock/radio which was great.There are 2 washing machines and tumble driers for guest use which cost $1.25 so you can always have clean clothes(ideal for children who like to wear their fav clothes regularly!)If there had been a computer in the lobby with free internet access this would have made this hotel perfect for us.
“Overall a great place to stay”
15 min. walk to Lincoln Memorial and to Georgetown; Loved the suites and convenience for 4 people. 2 TVs was great. Very friendly staff. Pool is clean with a nice rooftop deck, but quite small. Also walking distance to Kennedy center--5 min. Foggy bottoms Metro is a 5 min. walk, very convenient. Great hotel, would come back for sure.
“Excellent location”
We were very pleased with the hotel staff, location, room, and price. My only complaint was that we stayed in a suite which was lovely but located right next to the elevators. We were able to hear the doors opening and closing, especially early in the night. Fortunately, it is a pretty quiet clientele so our sleep was not disturbed. Would definitely stay here again.
“Great base of operation”
I was pleasantly surprised at the room - essentially a suite/extended stay accommodation. One could easily stay here a week or more in comfort - full sitting area, kitchen fully furnished and separate bedroom. Being more accustomed to 5 Star style hotels I had not expected such a quality "stay". The staff were very professional and ready to please. And this location is great - 2-3 blocks to the Metro (forget the cab, this is the way to go!), close to both The Mall and the Georgetown district.
“Great location for sightseeing!”
This hotel is within 2 or 3 blocks of GW University, and I highly recommend the 10-minute walk to the shops and restaurants overlooking the Potomac, especially Tony and Joe's, for a relaxing dinner on the water. The Foggy Bottom metro is less than five minutes (barely a block) away. You can walk to the Kennedy Center which is a couple of blocks, and an easy downhill walk to the Lincoln Memorial, where you can get the Tourmobile for sightseeing. The driving instructions provided by Expedia led us straight to the hotel. Staff were friendly, courteous, helpful, especially Heidi and Melissa at the front desk and Saif and Melvin with other matters. Staff provides you with a list of restaurants within easy walking distance. I will definitely stay at this location for my next visit to Washington!
