“Very Friendly”
The hotel is 1.5 miles away from Union Station. The hotel provides a shuttle to Union Station several times in the morining and evening. There is a return shuttle additonally. If you should miss the return shuttle and you do not want to walk to the hotel (which I do not recommend) cabs are ALWAYS available at Union Station. The cab ride cost between 5-6 dollars. The hotel staff was very freindly and welcoming and always did their best to help out there guest.
“Impressed by professionalism of staff”
The hotel was clean comfortable with a professional staff. This was my second stay and the hotel has maintain a standard of high quality. The only minor complaint I have is that the television signal on the flat screen TV was not up to date with the new diagonal signal. Some stations were clear and others were fuzzy. There were not many stations to choose from. Maintenance said there was a problem with the cable company and receiving signal.

I read several (not so great) reviews of this place before we booked, and frankly, I was ready to be held up at knifepoint by a cockroach. We were coming from Ohio, and just needed someplace cheap and convenient to stay after a soccer game and before we continued out to the Delaware shore. This place fit the bill. Amazingly, the hotel was easy to find, the staff was friendly and courteous, the rooms were comfortable and even "cute", and the bathroom appeared to be recently renovated. My boyfriend was even pleased 'cause there was a great big flat-screen TV in the room. Only about a 5 minute cab ride to Gallery Place/Chinatown, too! Definitely not a 5 star hotel by any stretch, but for a comfy, clean, affordable room in Washington DC, this is your place.

It was a good hotel with a great service. You have to go out a little bit to get to the downtown (the tour place), but it was pretty cheap considering that parking & breakfast were free.

I booked this room for a girls night and the staff was so friendly. The room smelled so good when I walked in which was so unusual for a hotel room.
“A little out of the way...but a nice hotel”
Though it was not easy to access DC's public transportation system from this hotel, it was a nice place to stay for the value. Everything was clean. The decor was nice. The complimentary breakfast offered a nice variety of food.
“Business Travel Friendly at a Good Price”
The hotel provided all the necessities needed for business travel at an affordable price. Complementary wireless internet, breakfast, and a decent fitness center as some of the amenities that are included. Overall, being in DC, it was quite calm & quiet. Upon arrival I thought the train (vibrated the room!) running along the building would be a nuisance, however it did run during the night. There are no good food spots in the walking proximity, but a car or cab ride into town is only 10-15 minutes. Overall, this is a good place with all of the necessities for business travel.

Breakfast room should be improved in size and service. Self-service should be organized more efficiently.
