“A gem!”
The location can't be beat, located on top of the Farragut West metro and across the square from the Farragut North. It is just blocks away from the Washington Monument, White House, and other great sites, as well as 1.5 blocks from the Capital Hilton, where my conference was held. Yes, the rooms were small (I was in a single) and it was shower only (no tub), but it was clean and comfy, and free WiFi was a nice bonus for someone who needs internet access for work all the time. I didn't get a chance to check out the living room, bar, or fitness center, but hopefully next time, as I will definitely be going back! In terms of not great stuff, my room was facing, across an alley, a huge office building under construction. This wouldn't have been too bad (no view, but at least no one to look into my room at night) but on the last morning when I wanted to sleep in before catching my flight, the construction noise felt like it was right on top of me and there was NO way anyone could sleep through that. It won't go on forever, of course, and if it had been a real problem I am sure I could have asked them to move me.
“Excellent location, modern amenities”
We had a very comfortable stay at this hotel. Location is wonderful for sightseeing and shopping and public transportation. Very close to the White House. Nice modern decor.
“Great place to stay in downtown -- great value”
The hotel was first class, at a bargain price. The standard rooms are very small, but we were able to upgrade to a suite at check-in for a reasonable cost and were extremely comfortable during our four-night stay. The location is unbeatable, around the corner from a Metro stop and within walking distance of almost everything you would want to see downtown, and with tons of good restaurants nearby. We were in town for a wedding and had a great time. Our only complaint was the size and slowness of the elevators, but that was pretty minor. All in all, we would recommend Club Quarters not only to business travelers (for whom they cater), but for other visitors like us who are just in DC to have fun.
“Club Quarters - Washington”
Very clean though small room (I had a single with a queen bed). Very quiet. Comfortable bed. Great location. No breakfast room service. Very efficient check-in and check-out. Would definitely go back.
“A Great Stay”
I was traveling on business but wanted to be close to the sights. Club Quarters is right downtown and very convenient if you are traveling for business, pleasure or both. I had a great stay.
“Centrally located”
Clean, courteous and competent staff. Room was a bit small and window had no view - looked out at what I think was an airway shaft where other room windows were on the other three sides. Had to look up to see light. But then, I guess a view costs. Bathroom was large - great shower. Free filtered water was a +.
“Will stay here every time I'm in DC”
We were so impressed with the hotel and had a lovely stay. The room was small but we didn't find it problematic at all - we found it rather cute! It was also nice to get free water bottles. We utilized the business center / library / lounge and it was awesome! (there was free coffee / tea / cookies). Would definitely book a room here if I'm ever in DC again!
“Top quality, moderate price”
Though not a full service hotel I had everything I needed. A simple, quiet, elegantly contemporarily designed room. Free coffee and filtered iced water. Free wireless internet and PC terminals and printers to use in the clubroom. Both the room and the communal spaces were impressively clean and well maintained. In the business centre of the city and above a metro station with plenty of parking on street and in garages nearby (though I went in August when it is quiet). Surprisingly the price I got through Expedia was one of the lowest available for a single room. Very good value. I have no reservatios and will recommend it to any of my friends whatever their level of expectation.
“Close to everything”
This was my third stay in a Club Quarters Hotel. The Washington Hotel is close to the Mall and it's possible to walk basically everywhere. The staff was very friendly. At check-in, they gave me a smoking room first, but changed that immediately. The room itself was small but comfortable.
“Planning another vacation at same place for 2weeks in 2013.”
Very close to all mall exhibits; Great place to stay, small quarters but we were out all day sight seeing. Will stay again.
