“A wonderfully comfortable place to stay!”
We stayed here because the YHA did not have vacancies for that night, and really enjoyed a centrally located place for once! (Although the YHA is cheaper, it is not very convenient returning there after plays that end late.) Christine who runs this B&B is the most wonderful host you'll find, we stayed there for only 1 night but it was very comfortable and peaceful. We found everything we could have wanted in the room (beverages, biscuits, plenty of towels...and also a hair dryer which most B&B's don't include). Its a short walk from the RSC where most would be watching plays that end late, so there is no trouble getting back. We would like to return here if we visit Stratford again :)
“Great location, great host, don't look further!”
The hotel is literally 10 minutes walk away from anything there is to do and see in Stratford, Christine, the host, is very friendly and we were warmly received, rooms are spacious enough, decorated with taste and perfectly clean. This B&B is ideal for families, couples, pretty much anyone looking for a central accommodation in Stratford.
“B&B in Stratford-Upon-Avon”
Arrived to find that there was nowhere for us to park as not stipulated in description that the B&B has 6 rooms but only 4 parking spaces. Rooms are clean but dated and bathroom was very small. Didn't get too much sleep as walls are very thin and people start getting up early (7 a.m.) to use communal shower room, toilet etc. as not all rooms en-suite which when you are away at the weekend is not ideal. However, on a brighter note the proprietor was very friendly, quickly arranged parking for us with a neighbour and the breakfast was good. Price was extremely high based on the standard of this B&B but unfortunately had little choice as was a last minute booking. Ok as a last resort but if I am in Stratford again I would try somewhere else.
“Just ok”
B&B is in a good location between the train station and town centre, 5 minute walk to both. The owner was a nice lady who was friendly and welcoming and the breakfast was nice. The room itself was ok, nothing was overly wrong with it but it was nothing exceptional either. We felt it could have been cleaner and I didn't find the bed overly comfortable - but thats just my personal preference. Our main gripe was that we came home for a couple of hours in the evening and the heating was not on and the room was freezing. nfortunately the owner was not in at this time so we had to grin and bear it. The heating was on when we came back later in the night. All in all the b&b was ok but I think there are probably better oout there.
