“We were not the usual type staying here.”

Stayed 6 nights to get my son settled in Paris but with no car. Nearest RER station (Villeneuve Saint Georges (VSG) Triage – NOT Prairie!) is roughly a 15 min bus ride (B route - both stops minutes away) and a 10 minute walk across the railway bridge. Then 15 mins to say, Gare du Lyon. Same set up with next station south VSG where service is possibly more frequent? Note neither station area felt really comfortable after dark. Supermarket and Mc Donalds 2min walk from hotel. On a bit of a budget so did not eat at the hotel but it looked fresh & seemed reasonably priced given the cost of eating in Paris! Staff, particularly the maid, very helpful with hairdryer/ buses/etc. Room quiet & reasonably good size but would have liked air conditioning and a fridge. However exceptionally hot when we stayed and opening doors let in the mosquitoes from the pond behind the adjoining Premier hotel (previous experience of other Premiere is they are cheaper but not so comfy as Campanile - appear to be owned by same Co. and share car parking etc. here). Campanile beds/bathroom good although rooms are a little tired (toilet seat fell off – mended without being asked & pole for window blind - left). Decent towels and plenty of tea/soap etc. complete the picture. Summary - hotel is clean and comfortable; feels safe and secure being located on a newish industrial estate and used mainly by commercial travellers, in the week.
