“Salan Boutique Hotel was one of the best i have stayed in”

Friendly and helpful staff, very modern hotel room and convenient location. i was surprised to find such a hotel in Vientiane, Laos - even free wifi. Would definately go back again.

“Very friendly laid back hotel!!!”

Very relaxing welcome to the hotel with cool refreshing drink! Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Hotel is located very close to centre, opposite Wat Ong Teu Mahawihan down side street from Setthathirath Main Street and within easy walking distance to all sites etc.

“Happytrav”

The staff were happy , helpful and dedicated to ensuring all the guests needs were met . The hotel has free bikes , shuttles to town and the airport yet was within easy walk to the old town n the extensive garden area overlooking the river with sun chairs and hammocks was a big plus the food eaten at the outdoor area overlooking the garden was great . The chalets are worth the little extra .

“Lovely rooms, great food, shame about service at reception”

I've stayed in the Salana Boutique on two occasions and both times had the same experience. The hotel is in a very handy location, much closer to town than the Mercure (which I assume is its main competitor). Breakfast service is great, I assume that other food is equally good. The rooms are very clean and tidy with very comfortable beds. The only thing that lets the hotel down is the "everything's too much trouble" attitude of the reception staff. They are very pleasant and welcoming but pretty bad at handling even the smallest problems. Two examples: we wanted to get to the Freedom bridge but the staff seemed to not understand how we couldn't just wing the trip and needed help with bus locations etc, and secondly an airport transfer that needed rebooking and still didn't include the required wake-up call or packed breakfast. That being said, stay here!
