“Perfect for sightseeing”

3 of us had a girls' City break for 3 nights in September. Lovely hotel and friendly, helpful reception staff. Bedrooms clean and quiet at night as it was in the centre overlooking a busy road and double glazing held up well. Breakfast room on 3rd floor OK - pretty basic fare but fulfilling. The room could do with some music and brightening up and the lady replenishing and clearing up tables could do with a personality bypass as very unhelpful and surly - but that was the only downside to our trip. We do a City trip every year and would recommend this City and hotel to fellow travellers. Hotel perfectly situated for sightseeing and opera house, concerts and green parks and to see the famous horses (exercise period in the morning at Euro 12 not too exciting) and within walking distance to plenty of good restaurants.

“Excellent and Friendly”

Once we found our way into this hotel (a smallish doorway on a busy street) we were made very welcome (all staff spoke Engish). Our room was comfortable, the breakfast varied and plentiful and the locaton fabulous for exploring Vienna. We would certainly go again and would recommend Hotel Opernring wholeheartedly.

“Superb Location”

This hotel was clean and comfortable, and in a superb location. It was easy to walk to many of the sights in Vienna, so I would stay here again for the convenience of the location. It is just ideal. Travelers should know that the hotel is on a busy street so if you leave your window open at night (necessary in summer months) you may awake to the street noise. My only issue was that the Expedia website advertised this hotel as having both a 'laundry service' and 'laundry facilities', which is incorrect. The hotel only offers a laundry service, and there are no washing machines in the hotel.

Room was clean and distance between hotel and attractions was very short. Staff was very helpful and breakfast is also perfect.

“Great location”

This hotel is very centrally located in old town Vienna and is right on the Operring. We had a three bed room which was lovely. The breakfast was good. Internet wireless was not great. The hotel is very close to the hop on hop off at the Opera House and subway station. Right off the 62 tram from the train station.

“Excellent Location and Service”

This hotel could not be better located. It was perfect for a solo vacation. Just a few minutes walk to many of Vienna's most famous sights, right on a major tram line and a block and a half from an entrance to the subway station. I scored a junior suite which was very spacious (by European standards) with 15 foot ceilings and a small balcony. It appeared that the room and bathroom had been recently renovated. I could see the Staatsoper from my window which was just a block away. It was my birthday and the staff enthusiastically assisted my partner in arranging several gifts and surprises. The breakfast buffet was varied and good. Of course with a vintage building there are some oddities: the lighting was dim in some areas of the room, the shower temperature varied somewhat and the internet was quirky but functional once I figured it out. These nits aside, this hotel solidly hits the important points: Comfortable, well located with a competent, friendly staff. I would not consider staying anywhere else in Vienna.

“Vienna weekend”

The hotel is perfectly placed for sightseeing, most things being only a short walk away. The staff at the hotel could not have been more helpful & friendly, nothing was problem for them. The rooms were unusually spacious, very clean & tidy with tea/coffee facility. There was also a fridge with drinks etc. We hope to return to Vienna & will definitely stay there again.
