The hotel is very old. Bath tubs in the bathrooms are very dirty and old. I had to change my room because of the bathroom problem and the one in the new room was not better at all. A very noisy hotel; you can hear everything and anything from other rooms.

Great time in Vienna at great rate.
We enjoyed our stay. The girl at the front desk was extremely helpful and very knowledgeable on how to get everywhere. We needed to store our bags while we went to get our rental car - no problem at all with the help of this young lady. The elevator is very slow but reliable. Lots of places to eat in all directions. Public transportation is close by and very easy to use with either the 24 hour ticket or the week long ticket.

Worth to stay
It was very nice stay. It's very economical.The hotel is very much maintained in terms of cleanliness . I had a only problem with the heater which does not work seems to me when I tried to control the chillness in room. Otherwise as a overall it is one of the finest hotel to stay.

a hotel in need of a lot of updating
Whilst the reception staff are excellent - friendly and helpful, the hotel is very disappointing indeed. Even tho it is only a 3* the stained carpets, the loose taps and black damp grouting in the bathrooms, the lack of any soundproofing etc etc is not acceptable.

Good price, friendly staff, near great restaurants
Staff very friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, knew several languages. Our first night was difficult because of some extremely noisy neighbour entering and exiting into the wee hrs of the night. The following 3 nights were quiet however. The buffet breakfast at the sister hotel was excellent and staff there were also very friendly/helpful. But, the no-smoking policy needs to be enforced as the hallways always reeked of smoke and we even saw cigarette butts on the hallway floor. Almost an entire put out cigarette somehow made it into our room. The sink plug wouldn't loosen hence the sink never drained. I mentioned it to staff and they said they told the tech but it never got fixed in 4 days and when we brushed our teeth we had spit in the toilet.

Cheap, close to the tram line into central Vienna
I chose this hotel because it was near where my daughter lives in Vienna. It's not in the centre but is about 10 mins from the centre on the excellent tram system (Tram 43 into town). The hotel is down a side street and won't win any awards for style, but was clean and had free wifi. Breakfast was included but had to be taken at a nearby sister hotel. Given that it was near freezing, this meant dressing up in winter kit and setting off. I didn't bother with any breakfasts. If I was already dressed to go out, I was going out and not to breakfast. That said, Vienna is expensive and this hotel was cheap, leaving me money to spend elsewhere. I'd stay there again.

not bad, great for the price can't compete , nothing fancy , hotel is 7min walk from alser starbe metro... after you going out from the station go strait in the street afront of macdonalds"just behind the metro" and keep walking until you find a sign for copy shop on your left then you will see the hotel.....

Interesting Experience
Very basic and run down which is a shame as it look like it has some interesting history. The photos on web site must have been taken some years ago. I suppose it is more like a hostel. Room was clean enough and was adequate for our stay. Staff were young and friendly but didn't have much idea in the area of maintenance. However the downstairs area which looked like it was a wine bar in the past was freely available to use and had some old world charm. It served its purpose and is idea as a cheap place say for students.

Nice Hotel in Vienna
This hotel has everything you need with the added bonus of a fridge in the room at no extra cost. The room was very clean and I had no complaints. Breakfast is taken at the Vienna Exe hotel which is a bit of a walk away but the food was good and well worth it. The tube was close by as was the tram into Vienna centre. Would stay here again.

Inexpensive hotel, friendly staff.
We only booked 6 days before we went so didn't expect to be staying near to where we wanted, the Vienna public transport system is brilliant so it didn't matter. Room was clean and towels were changed daily. Breakfast at the sister hotel up the road was fab.

It was a little bit far from the centre, but not too far from the tram line. The bathroom smelled like it hadn't been cleaned properly, and the condition of the room wasn't great. The service was ok though.

Great centrally located hotel
If you don't mind walking a bit (or taking the very easy to use subway system), this is the perfect hotel. It's pretty central to most things and a very good deal for the money. The free breakfast is excellent as well. Lots of options. Good for a traveler looking to save money on food. I'd definitely stay here again.

Decent hotel
Free WIFI but slow, about 30-45 minutes walking distance to the city centre. Located in a quiet neighborhood. Building is a little old so don't expect much. not a bad deal for the price.

Enjoyable and comfortable stay. Great price and a very nice breakfast at another hotel around the corner (3-5 minute walk). The room was huge and provided all the services you would require to need on a short stay. The toilet was in its own room (which was perfectly fine) but was a very tight fit. Location wasn't an issue for us but could be for others. From the centre of town you need to take a tram (43 or 44) and walk 5 minutes from there. The taxi prices would cost a lot more than the cheap tram fare. Very hospitable staff members. They also let us store our bags for most of the next day.

East European atmosphere in Wien
The hotel is around 10minutes walk away from Alser Strasse subway that is convenient transport hub. Staff is nice to you and they are international. The hotel is little far and surrounding neighborhood is not the classy part of Wien. The 2 bed room was equipped with TV and minibar. However, there was only one power plug with power extension cord in the room to power those. No change of charging your phone nor laptop without taking power off from TV and refrigerator. In shower there was an old bath tub where one couldn't stand while showering nor was it large enough to take a proper bath. The beds were hard and the usage of leftover building materials in desk and elsewhere alongside of a hole in the wall brought an 'East European' feeling in Wien. You could clearly hear the conversations from next rooms. The only positive surprise was the breakfast that was in their partner hotel 5 minutes walk away.

When we arrived I would have say it is excellent value for the price. But they are renewing the hotel and we couldnt sleep from 7am because it was really loud. Plus the price doesnt cover the breakfast as it was written.

Budget Option
The hotel was adequate for a budget stay in the city, however the pictures made the room seem a lot more spacious and cosy when it was a very basic room. The place had a bit of a 'youth club' vibe as there was a large group of students staying making alot of noise throughout the night and into the early hours. I wouldn't recommend this if you are staying on business in the city, however if you want a cheap place with mates then it's ideal for a budget stay.

Fine for a week
This hotel was very inexpensive and certainly worth what I paid. Breakfast was not included in the price I paid so I cannot comment. The room was well heated (had to open windows sometimes in February). It is a few blocks from the train and McDonalds, which has good coffee. The bed was hard for me. There was a little refrigerator which I used for yogurt and cheese. The room was small but the closet was adequate. The tub was small but it had one! So the price/benefit ratio was good.

Hotel is a long distance walking from the station, very cheap but it is not a 3* hotel, how it is getting stars not understandable it should be 1* or no. only advantage is value.

Hotel Mate Dependance.
This hotel was comfortable and qaint, although I did not like the flat pillow provided in the suites; the bathrooms needs renovations, the drain drained slow and/or the shower head was broken, which was inconveniencing. Another complaint I had was the phone charges for local phone calls. I had to pay an additional 28 euros for using the line for only approx. 15mins!! On a positive note, it is only a short walk to the tram and a 10 min walk to the nearest train station. The staff was multi lingual and accomodating. I am unsure if I would recommend this to others.

Hotel staff is really friendly
I stayed there for two nights and had a good stay. Staff patiently helped me with all my questions and also printed out some documents for me for free. Price was very affordable. Highly recommendable.

Too loud, couldn't sleep at all.
I stayed here the night before an incredibly important job interview. Huge mistake. After I had been asleep for a couple of hours it became apparent that the door to my room would loudly slam whenever someone entered their room or the elevator door opened (a vacuum was created, I assume). At about 5am I tried to prop the door tightly with a chair and towel, but it was still far too loud in the room. You could hear conversations as if the people were right in the room with you. The hotel is located in one of the seedier areas I have seen in the German speaking countries, several dance clubs and dive bars, including a couple with 'women in the window.' The street the hotel is located on is particularly desolate at night and for the first time in Germany or Austria, I felt unsafe. Also, the hotel is quite a hike from the nearest train stations, at least a 15 minute walk, and it took me nearly 25 minutes to hail a cab when I was leaving. That being said, the staff was very friendly and the room was spotless and had fairly modern fixtures, it was quite nice for the price. If you can sleep through anything, the price may be right for you.

Remodeled older hotel away from center
We drove to Vienna and wanted to avoid the city center. Hotel had small clean rooms with updated furniture and fixtures. Very convenient for trolley to center. Staff very friendly and helpful. Very good breakfast. Street parking only which is a little difficult but not too bad in first week of October. Mixed business and residential area.

Very nice stay
It is a very cheap but cozy hotel. Of course you get, what you pay for, so there are not a 1000 things in the room. But it has TV, cooler, bed, shower etc, and it was very well kept. During the night the area was very silent, and it was no problem to get a good night sleep. The breakfast was excellent, so we will for sure be guests at this hotel again next time we go to Vienna.
