“Couldn't ask for more”
Best hotel we stayed at by far (out of 8) on our 3 week trip. Fantastic location, facilities, staff were great, breakfast was decent without being great. We had only cold water one night but it was fixed the next morning and I believe it was an isolated incident. Clean, big comfy beds and better than average choccies made for a great stay.
“Terrific Vienna hotel!”
Das Tyrol hotel is a beautiful boutique hotel located just off one of Vienna's best shopping/restaurant streets. The hotel is quiet, the rooms and public areas are filled with interesting artwork, the breakfast is hearty and the receptionist/front lobby is very helpful. We had a terrific stay and would recommend it to all.
“Complete satisfaction”
Great position -- within walking distance of the main shopping areas and close to the Ringroad with all the main attractions close by.
“Best Possible Location”
Fantastic Location! Just a few blocks from all the Art, Music and Museum venues. A dream location for the Culture Vulture. Hotel interior is a fascinating mixture of early 1900s architecture with an immensely enjoyable modern art decor. Miniature, but way cool elevator. Narrow entrance off side street. Handicap-challenged, but the staff is creative and endlessly helpful. The staff is also brilliantly multi-lingual. It was an honor and a pleasure to be able to stay there twice in one trip. The desk clerk even went on Facebook to plea for a last-minute concert ticket for me. The concert was great too.
“Can't wait to go back”

“great stay”
I recommend this hotel its very well located, rooms are small but confortable.
“A Beautiful Hotel”
We stayed at Das Tyrol for over a week in March, 2011. The hotel combines the charm of an older building with the clean lines of upscale contemporary furnishings. The original art throughout is a bonus. Our room was small, but adequate, with very nice appointments and a beautiful bathroom. The high ceiling and large windows (that opened a bit- a feature we like) made the room feel more spacious. Breakfast, served from 7-10:30 in an elegant dining room, offered a delicious variety of cold foods, and the staff cooked eggs and served specialty coffees on request. All the staff we met were very friendly, helpful and accomodating. They made several reservations for us, and offered to serve breakfast early on a day when we left at 7 am for a day trip to Budapest. A computer in the lobby is available for use by guests. The street is busy, but the location is perfect for walking to many of the main tourist sights and restaurants. Public transportaion and the Ring are within two blocks. If you don't need a full service hotel with restaurant and bar, Das Tryol must be one of the best accomodations in Vienna.
“Hard to find anything to criticize”
My wife and I spent the first week of September in Das Tyrol and were delighted with everything about it. For me, location is a top priority in choosing a hotel and this one is within walking distance of almost everything a tourist in Vienna would want to see. Otherwise Metro and trams were nearby for the occasional excursion further afield. The staff all spoke English and were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was sparkling clean and the breakfast buffet offered everything imaginable.Perhaps the only small quibble would be the 2-3 block walk to any good restaurants for dinner. We would stay at Das Tyrol again without question.
