“Will definately return”
A real gem of a hotel, only a few minutes walk from the centre. Boutique in style it has large rooms, designed by Sir Terence Conran. Bathrooms are fabulous topped off with Molton & Brown toiletries and a bath you wouldn't want to get out of! Comfortable large kingsize bed with soft fluffy pillows made for a quiet nights sleep. Breakfast Buffett has everything including champagne. As a treat for my birthday I couldn't have picked a nicer place to stay. A real change from the large chains! We will definately return here again !!!
“Vienna's Hidden Gem!”
My wife and I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. Only a short stroll up for the Karlplatz metro station, we were greeted by a charming and most helpful receptionist. We had a standard non-smoking room which was very roomy, immaculately presented and had a large bathroom. Lots of little niceties including bath robes and chocolate left on your pillow when the maids turn your beds down at night. The breakfast was a superb spread and the staff were really friendly, helpful and spoke good English. The hotel is less than 15 mins walk to the main square and you'll pass the Opera House en route. The museums and the palace are less than 20 mins walking distance. This hotel is a real gem and I would definitely stay here again.
“Great Place”
Excellent hotel in one of the best cities in Europe. What more do you want?!
“Very Nice place to stay in Vienna”
Very nice place 5 min walk from Grand Opera. Not a very plesant walk though. I'd consider walk as acceptible. Otherwise the hotel is great. Minimalistic style, not extra kitchy-plushy, but roomy enough by european standards. has desant gym and good souna. The real pleasure was outdoor sitting in the restaurant. Sort of enclosed backyard. And extremly nice, friendly and helpful stuff
“Unique and Grows on you”
My wife and I arrived at the Das Triest after midnight after driving by car from Munich we were surprised and happy to find someone waiting for us in the lobby with our room (prepaid correctly) and ready to take and park our car. At first the hotel does not seem like a lot as the first few spaces you see are somewhat utilitarian and artistic... however the Hotel quickly grows on you as you find the staff extremely friendly and the Hotel itself full of unique charm and style. The Sliver Bar has quite possibly one of the best bartenders I have ever seen, running the whole place by himself and making a perfect martini. One morning we arrived to breakfast 30 minutes late and the kitchen staff prepared us a light snack and coffee and brought it to us in the lounge even though they were setting up for lunch already. That type of service, on top of clean rooms, a stylish courtyard, and great bar would make us stay there again in a heartbeat! We just simply did not want to leave. The only small complaint of our entire stay was the central AC unit lacked good controls in the room and it was a bit hot at night.
“excellent choice if you want to splurge”
We stayed for three nights at the end of September and were very satisfied with our stay. The staff were extremely helpful in accommodating our requests (checking on opera tickets, etc.), and the hotel is a short walk away from some of the main sights (St. Stephen's, Staatsoper, Secession building). The breakfast was included in our rate and was fantastic. We had difficulty with the wireless internet in our room but we used our laptop in the lobby and the connection was fine. The Molton Brown bath products were a plus!
“Sleek and convenient option in Vienna”
The entrance and the lobby of this hotel are rather unassuming, but once you get to your room and experience the breakfast you realise how good it is. Service was friendly and smiley and the room was great, especially the large bathroom with a great basin and abundant hot water. The Apple TV/Computer were impressive, although the internet connection was a bit slow. Great walk to central Vienna and many other attractions in the surrounding blocks. I would love to go back and spend more time there.
“Excellent Choice”
Superb hotel in an excellent location. Expedia delivered an excellent and affordable hotel plus flight package with this designer hotel. The staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. All the major sights are within walking distance including the city centre and the 'cafes'. High quality food and sumptous breakfasts. We had a very enjoyable 4 day break
“Great staff”
The hotel is well designed, and well looked after; staff speak excellent English - which is helpful for non-German speakers - and were extremely helpful - nothing was too much trouble; rooms well designed with good bathrooms; like most Viennese buildings, it was very hot!
“Value and no stress”
Easy to reach from the airport for a weekend city break. Very comfortable, excellent breakfast buffet and helpful staff. Rooms were well equipped and everything worked. Wifi, internet access, comfortable bed and good quality bedding. Large bathroom and plenty of power from shower.
