“Good value”
Hotel is very clean and in nice repair. Good breakfast and front desk service. Hotel is in an ok location. Pretty close to a U-bhan stop but in a neighborhood that should cause a little concern late at night. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here if the price is right.
“Amazing staff, great hotel. I would recommend this hotel to everyone”
My experience with this hotel was extremely good. We had a very good reception at the desk and the staff was very hospitable. I would definitely recommed this hotel to anyone going to Vienna. The guys at the check-in was very helpful. We checked in late around 12 midnight and he was there to help us with the check in process and made it as smooth as possible. We were hungry and he also helped us microwave some cup noodles and gave us a bottle full of milk. The breakfast was amazing although it costs a few Euros but its all worth it. The room was very clean and the location was awesome. It took us 5 mins to reach to the hotel from the nearest train station. Amazing!! I would definaltey recommed this hotel
“Great stay”
The hotel is not in a typically Viennese neighbourhood, so tourists have to use the underground to go straight to the historical centre. But I found it ideal to go daily to the V.I.C (Vienna International Centre) for work, as it's only two stops away from the fairly close tube station. Great service, varied and tasty breakfast options. Perfect for a business stay. Hotel does not serve dinner at all. Only 1 Chinese (with very generous portions), 1 Italian rastaurant and 1 supermarket in the vicinity. WLAN available in the hotel lobby, and although I have been told only modem connection was available in my room, I found that a very good WLAN connection was available there. Would definetly go back again.
“First impressions quickly disolve - I'll be back!”
My initial impression of the hotel and its location on arrival on a grey day were not great. However, the staff throughout are exceptionally helpful and whilst I would class this as a 3* not 4* hotel (there are disccrepancies in the room amenities to the blurb)I was made to feel welcome. Similarly any criticism on location should be tempered by the fact that the hotel is 200yds from the Red 1 tube which is great fro setting off anywhere. The hotel proved popular with amny nationalities and has a children's play area inside and out. I am hoping to go back next year!
“Very kid friendly”
We were nervous about going to a conference where we both had several presentations with our 4-year old. This concern grew after we noticed that many hotels in Vienna do not accept children under 18 (pretty strange). But the Trend hotel was very kid friendly and there were other families there during our stay. The staff was friendly and very helpful. I would stay here any time I visit Vienna.
“Nice and comfortable place, but not impressed by the location”
I was recently in Vienna for a meeting. The hotel is conveniently located and within walking distance to the Messe Wien, which for the cost of the room is a big plus, also relatively close to the United Nations site, and very close to the Danube river. Downtown is about 5 minutes using the subway,k as well as the Museum Quartier. It is located in a quiet location (extremely quiet and almost scary at night). Personnel is helpful in general, one of the night shift attendandts was not very helpful although very kind, since by mistake they charged my credit card twice, which was returned uneventfully very fast after I found about it and complained .The breakfast (buffet) was good but expensive (15 + euro) and was not included in my reservation. There is a U station very close (approx 2 blocks) and a bus stop (11-A) half a block away from the hotel entrance, which takes you to the Messe and another U station. Not so many options to dine around, but not far from downtown, where you will find plenty of options. Safety: I felt very safe most of the time during the day, but would not recommend to walk around late at night. Overall, a good option if you do not want to spend a lot of money and be conveniently located within the center districts of the city.
“Not Bad”
The main problem with the hotel for me was that it was not easy to find the first day I arrived at Vienna. I would recommend staying closer to the City Center if porssible. I liked the room I got but was not very happy with the front desk. They were not very helpful. Overall the hotel was okay.
“Good selection for Vienna, despite unfriendly reception people”
Nice modern hotel much better priced than most of their competition in this city, with the advantage of being located about an 8 minute walk from a clean, safe underground service which will have you in the heart of Vienna in no time (4 stops). My only complain had to do with having no air conditioning , only a wind fan (good enough) which inexplicably was taken by house cleaning from my room the third night of my stay and a reception woman who refused to give it back !. Only after much bitter discussion did she relent but it is unfortunate that people at this hotel's desk would be, (generally speaking) so unfriendly which really hurt my opinion of this (otherwise) nice hotel.
“ok hotel for the money”
The hotel is well positioned for quick access to town via public transport. parking is available, which was a plus for us. the room decor was a bit tired and could be improved, but ok for the price. seemed clean enough. breakfast was good but a little pricey at 15 per person unless you like a big breakfast!
“Choose a different hotel!”
My stay here was very disappointing. Front desk staff were not friendly or welcoming, seemed irritated by questions. Directions to subway left us wandering lost. Hotel is not near city center or attractions. Beach front is a big exaggeration..it sits on the river but i never saw the river from the hotel -didnt really look since it was raining outside. WARNING: The hotel room did not include air conditioning. This is a separate charge of 5 euros per day. It was only 59 degrees outside but the room was extremely hot, so we had to pay for air conditioning. The internet you pay for does not have signal strength in the room, you must go down to the lobby to use it because they wont refund money due to know signal in room. Very disappointing. There are many nicer hotels for the same money...try the Mecure, it is near attractions and costs the same.
