“Good bet”
This is an older hotel in a great position in the city, just off the main drag. It's supposedly 5* but definitely lacks the luxury of other hotels of that class in the city. Having said that, the staff are efficient, the room was both huge and comfortable, and my stay was very good value for money - it was an excellent choice.
“excellent choice”
Gracious and spacious. Suite like double room easily handled third occupant. Perfect location. Attentive and helpful staff
“Short break”
This hotel is situated very close to St Stephens Place which is heart of Vienna. Wherever you walk you can see the spire which brings you back. The area is pedestrianised and easy to access all areas of Vienna either walking, tram or underground. It is excellent value for money, albeit Vienna as a whole is an expensive place to eat and drink. The hotel staff spoke English and were helpful with directions and information. The Breakfast was too expensive for us. Lots of cafes available locally for a Vienna Breakfast. It's an old building with renovations and extns which are tastefully done. I would go again most definetely
“Great location”
This hotel has the perfect location; all the important attractions are located within walking distance. The staff is very friendly and helpful, always willing to suggest and recommend on restaurants and things to do. Rooms are big and comfortable; I will stay there again anytime without hesitation.
“an excellent base”
We really enjoyed our time in Vienna. The hotel provided an excellent base for exploring the city and its vicinity. The central location (right at the centre of the best part of the city) proved to be a great advantage. Our room was literally spotless and the staff was really friendly. Would go back again.
“As central as it gets”
I took my family to the Ambassador four a four day break. We could not have been more impressed by the Hotel. It could not be more central to Vienna (which is compact anyway) but it is a hotel of real style and the reception staff were outstanding. The rooms we had had been recently refurbished to a high standard and did have air con (contrary to some hotel info on the web). The only gripe is the cost of the breakfast (try the cafe more or less across the road) but the breakfast itself was good. Dont expect a lot of flashy facilities (spa, etc) but if you want good old fashioned quality this would be hard to beat. Thoroughy recomended.
“That is my choice for the next trip in Vienna”
The hotel is well situated. The reception was friendly, the room clean and I was never bothered. The location is right between the Opera and the Cathedral. Many good places to eat with all level of services from fast food to expensive diner. The reception was very accomodating to book all the tours (including Prague). At departure, I asked for a taxi back to the airport and it was there and on time (not like Paris where he left me stranded).
“gret location and clean”
Nice place, big roioms and nice bathroom. The only problem with this hotel was the internet service as they only had one very slow computer for people to share. I even told the front desk they need 2 new computers.
“Ambassador hôtel très recommandé”
Rapport qualité -prix excellent. Le forfait voyage avion plus hôtel permet de bénéficier d'un super hôtel de luxe pour un prix rès intéressant. L'hôtel très bien situé et c'est un atout majeur. Une chambre spacieuse et confortable. Vraiment satisfait de ce séjour à Vienne.
“Have stayed there twice this year and will return...excellentnt location”
The Ambassador Hotel is extremely well located for excellent restaurants, shops and near the Albertina. Most of Vienna's most famous sites are an easy stroll away. The bedrooms are large and very comfortable. As I always arrive very late I know that I will still receive a warm and friendly welcome. Staff are efficient and helpfull. The hotel is excellent 'value for money'.
