“Good on a budget”
At first I was disappointed in the location, in the working class part of town, but after staying a few days it was very convenient to the metro and good and inexpensive restaurants. The hotel was clean and pleasant but the rooms were a little shabby. The beds, however, were good and the included breakfast was fantastic and ample. It was nice to have accessible and free internet. We took a tour to Schonbrunn Palace, which was recommeded at the desk, and were picked up at our hotel but dropped off at the bus collection point which was a long distance from our hotel. We were not told about this until we were done with the tour.
“Easy to reach by public transportation”
We stayed at the Hotel for four nights this summer. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and the staff were very friendly. The best thing about the hotel is that it is right across the street from the Matsleinsdorferplatz station which is served by two trams and one S-Bahn which take you directly to Karlsplatz on the Ring of the historic centre. The street outside the hotel is very congested, and the area is nothing spectacular, but that was okay with us. My only word of warning is to make sure you check in to the hotel in the afternoon. We arrived at 9:00 a.m. with all our luggage and were told we could leave it in a closet until our room was ready at 3:00 p.m. The closet was left unlocked and was around the corner from the check in desk, directly in front of a secondary entrance. Anyone could have easily walked in from the street, gone into the closet, and taken our stuff without the staff seeing. Given that we didn't want to haul our luggage around with us for the next six hours, we took a chance and fortunately all was intact when we returned, but I would have felt so much better had I known that our belongings were secure.
“would go back”
I stayed at the Allegro last week the hotel is in need of updating they didn't do kettles in the room. But in saying that the room was very clean and the staff on reception could not have been more helpful or friendlier. They are in the process of updating the hotel and I have to say it had no affect on the running of the place. It is on a very busy corner opposite the train/tram station a word to the wise when in the city get a no 6 tram back much less hassle. The area is not the most up market but as three women we felt very safe. there did'nt seem to be many good restaurants about but the one the hotel recommended was exceedingly good. we had a 4 day break and had a fab time the place the people FANTASTIC. I will be going back.If you want luxury dont stay here basic is the word but very good for the price.
“Good location for Public transport”
Hotel opposite train, tram & metro stations with good access to all parts of central Vienna and airport. Located on main road junction, so some traffic noise can be heard in lower rooms.Breakfast has good choice and kept well stocked.

“Allegro- needs to improve on communication.”
Comfortable and functional. They forgot to put a third bed in our room, even though there were three of us booked. On arrival they said it was there, but it was not. Luckily it arrived within a short time. They were not too helpful on information often seeming unsure. I think they use a lot of temps. For example, no hotel booklet/info in room. Response was "It must have been stolen-no copies available." Hotel held no stamps, had to walk half a mile to the post office in the dark. They did offer to post our cards, but some staff were uncertian about it. Breakfast, although good, never varied, They surely could do something different occasionally (even if it is vary the tinned fruit- pineapple only). Tram connection to central Vienna excellent. .
“meeting 3 star hotel rating”
easy to locate; if lucky a parking is not a problem
“viana trip”
The breakfast was satisfying. The hotel is next to the metro so you can get everywhere easily. It was a really big advantage for us.
“Very good hotel”
pretty good for what you pay for. located right across the street from a metro station. Breakfast was fine, to our surprise the room was very well kept and spacious, though we expected otherwise once we entered the hotel.
