Dining
Fine-dining restaurant on the main floor of the hotel, featuring staff dressed in Victorian-era clothing. The restaurant comprises numerous rooms, and balcony dining is available, weather permitting. The West Coast-fusion menu features fresh seafood, meat, and local ingredients. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily, and Sunday brunch.
Hunters Club Bar & Grill - Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily, this bright, naturally lit restaurant overlooking the gardens and patio offers a selection of soups, salads, appetizers, and main dishes. Guests can enjoy a meal or relax with a drink at the bar.
Santiago's - Inspired by South American cuisine, this casual tapas restaurant offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily.

“a special charm”
a very nice hotel with a special charm totally different from anonymous hotels: to recommand for europeans or any people who appreciate a personal service.

Perfect location, right across the street from the passenger and car ferries and within walking distance of downtown Victoria. The room was very romantic on the top floor of an historic home.
“Great Time in Victoria, BC”
What a wonderful time at the Gatsby Mansion in Victoria, BC. The location is ideal as it is just across from the US ferries and within walking distance of everything Victoria has to offer. The Gatsby Mansion is a beautiful Victorian B & B right on the harbor. The rooms are fabulous and the dining is superb! The staff is friendly and helpful.
“We'd stay here again!”
I loved that we were staying in a 100 year old mansion in James Bay near the inner harbour. The breakfasts were delicious and the staff was very accomodating. It was almost like staying at a large Bed and Breakfast facility. The Gatsby Mansion is located within walking distance to the Victoria Clipper, the little inner harbour ferries, Gray Line Tour Buses, British Columbia Museum & IMAX Theatre, as well as great restaurants and Old Town. We had so much fun exploring the area from our historical hotel.
“Perfect Location”
For those arriving by ferry, you couldn't ask for a better location. It is only about a block away and many rooms overlook the beautiful harbor. The museums, parliament building, and restaurant row are all within a short walk. The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful.
“Extremely well kept and run hotel”
I'm so glad I chose this hotel in Victoria, for many reasons. For one, it's location was perfect. It's right across the street from the ferry, and the waterfront with lots of restaurants to chose from. We had a beautiful view from our balcony of the harbor. Our suite was excellent, and very clean. The staff even had fresh baked cookies waiting for us in the room. Lovely!
“CHARMING AND ROMANTIC INN”
While some travelers might prefer more modern facilities, my wife and I find older historical dwellings like the Gatsby Mansion to be romantic. The room was clean, well-furnished and the bed was extremely comfortable. The service was exceptional in that the dining and entertainment recommendations we received made our trip truly memorable. We will look forward to going back to both Victoria and the Gatsby Mansion.

Very quaint hotel. Comfortable rooms and very clean. Walking distance to most everything. Nice place to dine with very nice atmosphere, but allow plenty of time as service is v-e-r-y slow. They need more servers. Overall, great place to stay.

“quaint and homey”
Our room was just what I expected, but if you're expecting all the modern amenities, this is not the place for you. Our corner room had a king sized bed, antique wardrobe, loveseat, and windows overlooking the harbor. There was a modernized bathroom with a shower. It was an old home, and some windows were painted shut, and the carpet and furniture showed some wear, but in my mind that's what made it quaint and homey. The restaurant downstairs served a very nice breakfast and the staff was friendly and helpful. At first the other couple vacationing with us was in another building - in the only room in that building, but the staff was able to move them to a suite across the hall from us. Their room was larger with a separate seating area, but no shower. If you're looking for something different from the usualy sterile modern hotel, this is it. I'd love to go back.
