“Very good deal”

I still can't believe what I paid. Basically, it's a mini apartment--better than some bachelor apts I've been in. The location is less than a 10 min. walk from most places you'd want to visit in the downtown. My son and I had twin beds in the bedroom; but he was able to stay up late at night watching the tube in the living area while I slept in the bedroom. It was clean, comfortable, convenient, and cheap. I don't know how close grocery stores are--I wasn't looking as I travel with my own breakfast stuff. I didn't have any of the hotel food so can't comment there.

“Would stay again!”

We stayed the night at The Executive House for my husband's 40th birthday getaway! It was a wonderful location, close to the museum, shops, restaurants! Great location! If I hadn't sprained my ankle the day before I would have loved to get out and walk around the city more! This was also our first hotel experience with our 23 month old daughter, it was fantastic, they even provided a pack and play for free in the room and set it up for us too! Great service! Only thing we wished was that the bathroom had been updated a bit more, few missing tiles, but other than that it was a great experience.

“The Jewel of Victoria!”

I was so impressed by the convenience of the hotels location and how friendly the staff was. We had a room facing the Inner Harbour and it was absolutely beautiful. Internet access was free (though unsecure) and they have 4 restaurants onsite for food pretty much whenever you like. If you interested in taking the public transportation, the hotel is near multiple stops and routes. I'm already planning my next stay in Victoria and I'm staying here again! Highly recommended clean place to stay for a good time in Victoria!

“great hotel, great location”

We stayed 2 nights in a nice hotel. We had reserved a room with 2 queen beds and what they gave us was a 2 bedroom suite with king size beds & a small balcony. It was grand! After wandering around town for an affordable restaurant for 4 we checked out the restaurant/bar downstairs and there was something everyone liked for a fair price. Location is great for walking about town as it's just behind the Empress Hotel.

“Excellent choice”

A most enjoyable stay. The hotel had friendly staff, downtown location (easy walking distance to most attractions) and nicely turned-out rooms. A friendly pub and nice dining room as well.

“It was all good.”

A modern hotel centrally located within walking distance of all amenities. Staff was very helpful. Free laundry facilities on site. We had a suite which was spacious and clean. On site restaurant was reasonable and food quality was good. There is a nice restaurant across the street (can't remember the name, look for the windmill). It was all good.

“Excellent suite with View”

I booked this hotel because I was attending a conference in the Victoria Convention Center across the street and got a great rate on Expedia. I requested an upper floor and was pleased to get a King suite overlooking the mountains and a partial view of the inner harbour. Furnishings were adequately clean and new although the kitchen showed a little wear and tear. Location was excellent as it was only 3 minutes to the convention rooms, and only 5 minutes to the attractions of the inner harbour. A nearby Smitty's offered a reasonably priced hot breakfast on the first day; later I walked 2 blocks to the nearest grocery and bought breakfast items for the rest of my stay. The kitchen was clean and well equipped and the refrigerator cold enough to keep my ice bucket cold for several days. I enjoyed having coffee near the balcony and looking at the view, ditto for the evening lights of the parliament. The Exec house is not air conditioned, similar to most local hotels, but you don't need it because the air cools off appreciably for sleeping in the evening. I'd highly recommend returning, although it might be a little cosy for a family of 4. I was annoyed by a barking dog one night, but the management did quell the pet so that sleeping was not a problem.

“We would definitely return”

Staff were friendly and offered us things (like a crib for our baby) before we had a chance to ask. Room was more than we had hoped for and close to everything! Excellent value!
