“What a pleasure!!”
Absolutely amazing property - west coast flair, great staff, beautiful & tranquil marina views. Parking is a bit tricky (use side entrance by Spa). Loved the fireplaces and spa tub, candles that were provided and the tea/coffee in-room service - top notch all around.
“Stay in Brentwood Bay”
We had a wonderful time. The staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.
“Beautiful Retreat on the Ocean”
We love staying at the Brentwood Bay Resort. It is a quiet oasis on the ocean with beautiful views, great food, wonderful rooms and a friendly staff.
“Wonderful Pacific Northwest-style resort!”
I have traveled all over the world, and Brentwood Bay ranks with the nicest resorts I have visited, including amazing ones in Bali and Africa. My room was beautiful, peaceful and restful, with a stunning view from the wall of windows and its private porch of trees, water, and mountains. The room itself had a very comfortable king size bed, a rock-surrounded gas fireplace (which I lit in the evening and morning--it was cool even though it was May), candles and matches to light them, a huge TV (did not use it), a soaking/whirlpool tub with both privacy and views of the scenery, and large stall shower in the spacious bathroom. The room was equipped with spa amenities, including bath salts, huge towels, and robes; there also is a spa, but I did not have time to book an appointment there. There is a both a heated pool and hot tub outside, and a full marina. I dined in the restaurant, and had a meal that easily bested the finest restaurant I visited in Vancouver. There was a sushi bar also, and a pub. The staff was outstanding, and made sure I knew about all the amenities, including free phone calls to anywhere in North America. It was restful and restorative visit--well worth the usual price and a bargain at the Expedia special rate. The resort was minutes away from the famous Butchart Gardens. I think that anyone would enjoy a stay here, but it is particularly nice for couples, seniors, business travelers (or anyone) wanting a mini-vacation (me), or a ladies spa weekend.
“Highly recommended”
I stayed here with my girlfriend for 2 nights, and it was the best getaway experience we have ever had. Gorgeous hotel with superb view. Hotel is kept in excellent condition despite the fact that it has been in service for 7 years. Private balcony (2nd floor) provides you with a beautiful scene of the harbor while having breakfast. I also like how they have candles placed across the room, creating a romantic scene no matter if you are cuddling while watching movies or bathing in their air massage-equipped tub.
“Would like to spend part of my honeymoom there in the future.....”
I came to the lodge for a wedding. It was my first time in Canada. The staff was excellent as well as the accomodations. They even helped me print out my boarding pass as I was having problems signing in. The views are beautiful and the food in the restaurants was delicious.
“Awesome place to relax and get away from it all!”
We came here for 3 nights over thanksgiving weekend. Wanted a quiet place to relax away from Victoria and we found it! The resort was very quiet this weekend and it felt like we had it all to ourselves, it was awesome! LOOVED the fireplace in our room as well as the jacuzzi tub. Awesome touches like nice soft cookies on our arrival and little special treats on our bedside each time our room was cleaned. Staff was helpful and friendly. We could even sign out movies if there was nothing we liked on television. Downsides were the surrounding neighborhood was mostly residential so we needed to find food either at the hotel (which we didn't because it seemed expensive) or in Victoria before we came out. Wasn't a big deal for us but could be an inconvenience for some. As far as activities go we went kayaking around the resort one morning and in the hot tub/pool one evening. We trekked into Victoria for whale watching and other touristy activities like the museum and IMAX etc. There was also a few wineries in the area we checked out that were awesome and a driving range/mini golf only a few minutes from the result which we enjoyed. Didn't go to Buchart gardens but that is another option. All in all, lovely place to stay and relax. Would recommend it to anyone needing a place in the area
“Great 5 star romantic get-a-way”
Brentwood Bay Lodge and Spa is located immediately to the right as you disembark the Mill Bay-Brentwood Bay ferry. The staff is extremely welcoming and helpful. The rooms are elegant with a balcony and view of the bay. The gas fireplace and strategically placed candles, along with the soft cd provided made this a very romantic setting. Enjoy the spa, outdoor pool, and hot tub. The attached marina offers docking facilities, showers, laundry, kayak rentals, scuba lessons and tours, as well as eco tours. The area is a tourist's dream with many places to see. Your best bet is to search Sidney, BC and Victoria BC for places of interest. I would highly recommend this venue as a luxury resort.
“Romantic Getaway”
My wife and I got the kids to arrange sleepovers and came for dinner and overnight stay. Fantastic restaurant!
“Wonderful, intimate property!”
What a great little find. Close to the Swartz Bay ferry and Victoria but far enough away to feel remote. Near Butchart Gardens. Gorgeous setting on the water. Nice pool. Peaceful decor in the rooms. Great bed! Nice Jacuzzi tub (even candles) and separate shower. Fireplace and fabulous balcony overlooking the water. Good food. Nice staff.
