I was facing a wall. My bathroom didn’t have a sink and there were loud noises at night from water in the pipes. Also, my tv didn’t face the bed.

The room had no hot water in the shower. We reported it to the front desk. They were unwilling to repair or compensate us for not being able to bathe on our vacation. The parking is very confusing and they do not explain how to park and get out of the parking garage.

Nice room. Jet tub. Fireplace. Large tv. Not many channel options. Across from large mall and many shops etc. harbour two blocks away. I parked in harbour lot which was convenient. Good vibe all around.

It's right at the government street. Shops and restaurants are all around. If you sleep early or you have kids, it may not your choice as pubs are just downstairs. It's especially noisy on Fri and Sat night, probably until 1 or 2 a.m.

Rooms have a nice charm with moldings, and details in the architecture. Beds are comfortable. Location is ideal, close to the main center attractions. It’s ideal for those who appreciate a more vintage place.

We stayed one night. This hotel is very conveniently located for nightlight and the waterfront, easy to walk around and visit. There is street parking around for a cost which wasn't to hard to find. The room itself is small, outdated and doesn't have much but if you are just sleeping there then it does the job for a good rate. I would stay here again. Thanks

Travelers beware: This place has ZERO parking onsite. There are parkades (paid parking lots & garages) nearby, but some are not open on weekends or after 6-8pm. The Hotel charges $18CAD to park in a contracted parking garage about 3 blocks away. The hours are very inconvenient and you need a key card to get both IN AND OUT (Weekends and after 10pm especially). The worst part is that they only have 1 key card for the garage for the whole hotel… So you have to get the key card, walk to get your car, and come and return the key card for others to use. Also, Government street is closed by the city from 12(noon) to 10pm for vehicle traffic. It’s pedestrian’s only, which makes getting to the hotel a HUGE nightmare. There’s a small “hotel zone” that’s kiddy corner to the hotel for guests to park, but unless it’s early morning or late night, you won’t be able to use it as it’s taken by waiting taxi’s and non hotel guests. The hotel room we got had a fireplace. It was cute and had lots of old world charm. Keep in mind this is one of the older hotels in the city. We had no complaints on the room. We stayed on the second floor and didn’t hear much of the loud music as mentioned in a lot of the other reviews. Upon check in, the front desk receptionist was helpful with explaining the parking situation, but it was still very frustrating and confusing. If you have mobility issues and cannot walk a lot, I would avoid this hotel. The parking experience just ruined it for us. :(

I stayed in this hotel for one night and I would say my experience was not good. I checked in at 3 pm, and the room that was reserved for me was not ready on time. I waited for about 40 minutes, and found out that the room was still not yet ready. The reception gave me a voucher to Churchhill downstairs and brought me another room, which is room M3. The room was clean and organized. At night, there was a pub downstairs that had music being played too loud almost the entire night. I was not able to sleep well. I had a headache at that time I heard the music being too loud. Hotel location is just across the mall and 10 minutes walk to the Parlament building.

Could not upload. Luggage at entrance street was block off. It was noisy from the street partying swearing hollering ect, the booking site said parking included I was charged 18.00 a night extra for parking which was 3 blocks away. I Will never stay there again. The hotel was under going renovations which they failed to say on tne booking site.

It was not disclosed that stairs were required to the room. The bathroom did not have a mirror or sink. There was a small sink and small round makeup mirror in the room which was not adequate. The location is great, surrounded by bars and restaurants, we had a better view of the band next door than most of the patrons at the bar, which came with a lot of noise.

Jenn at reception was really cool! Glad she's on staff, she's excellent at her job and very friendly, welcoming, and excellent at engaging in interesting conversations. She genuinely cares about the guests, which is not always easy to find in a city/country where people often pretend to be nice even though they don't mean what they say. The room was pretty solid, we found some weird stuff under the bed which indicated that area doesn't get cleaned often, and we found the bathtub faucet handle a bit hard to access because there was a ledge oddly placed in the way (not a big deal to me, but my other guest.)

It's a really old hotel, quite different than the modern ones. The location is quite convenient for tourists, if you don't have a car. You can find everything in walking distance.

Lovely location, great prices but far too loud to sleep soundly if your room faces government st., there’s a bar pounding club music into the night then 4 am street cleaners then 6am non stop delivery trucks to the mall. Staff were lovely the facilities were otherwise great, neat old building.
