“Nice Country Club Retreat”

At first, I was a little apprehensive to be staying at a "Country Club." At check-in, things went from apprehensive to relaxed. The room was slightly better than expected and was very clean. The bistro and restaurant were very nice. The wine prices at the bistro was just above the bottle shop cost. Staff was very helpful with directions. This is not a large full service hotel as one would find in a big ciry. It was a nice retreat in the country and as advertised.

“Acomfortable place to stay in a lovely little town”

The McCracken Country Club hotel was pleasant to stay in. The room overlooked the putting green and was quiet and clean. Nice bathroom with heaps of water pressure. My partner loved the spa bath. The only downside might be that the windows weren't overly clean (on the outside) with spiderwebs and bird droppings. Not an issue - just detracted from the overall experience. And it is in the countryside. The restaurant's service was pretty ordinary and the food - well, basically this is a large golf club and the food is representative of that. Not bad - just honest and nothing special. You get what you pay for. The massage my partner had was excellent - she was blissed out nicely. Overall, a comfortable place to stay in a lovely little town. I suspect that if you play golf, this would be the place for you. I don't but enjoyed the evening, and slept well. Lovely breakfast, too.

“Lousy night's sleep for a lot of money”

We booked the Motel in November 2011 for a stay in February 2012. When we arrived we were given our key for the room but at no time were we told there was a wedding there. I saw the bridal party but did ot realise the music from the Reception would still be going at 11.00 pm. We rang reception at 11.00 pm and was toold the music was going till midnight and she said that guests were told but unfortunately we were not told. We could have gone to the local pub and had a better nights sleep for a lot less money. I do ot paying the money but I expect to receive what I am paying for. You may provide all the great comforts but if it is noisy I would rather do without the comforts of go somewhere else
