"Great B&B, ticks every box, and then some."
Pros: Great location, helpful staff, amazing rooms
Cons: Breakfast isn't served till 8:00
From the moment we arrived the staff were extremely helpful, offering with restaurant reservations, suggestions of places to see etc. Our room was amazing, and comfy, and the communal areas are equally superb, and all individual. Breakfast was simple, but had everything you might want.
The location is perfect, outside the main hussle and bussle of the city centre, without being too far away that you can't pop back and forth, and also just round the corner from the Pitti Palace and Boboli gardens. It is also on the main road making it feel quite safe, but the traffic noise is quite minimal. The location is surrounded by contemporary art galleries, and antique shops giving the area a really interesting feel.
n.b that the reception is only manned between 8:00 and 16:00 which is fine, as long as you are aware of this, it means that you get the feeling of having the place to yourself in the evening, which is also quite nice.
Also be aware that there is a Florence tourist tax payable when you leave, so you need to budget for that so it isn't a surprise.
If you want something that is different and interesting, in a great location, this place ticks every box. Highly recommended.
