bon hotel, proche de la gare pour circuler aux alentours, et à moins de 10 mn à pied du plein centre; personnel tres acceillant, serviable, chambres magnifiques; très bonne ambiance ; seul inconvénient, le bruit le matin des voitures, vitrages peut être trop leger, mais pas de circulation le soir. Je retyournerai avec plaisir dans cet hotel

Breakfast rooom delightful - gentle music, interesting decor [ Indonesian sculptures],possibility of eating on patio. Good food ,well presented. “Excellent - Couldn't have asked for more!”

My wife and I travelled to Verona for two days as part of a wider tour of Italy and Europe for our honeymoon. This hotel was absolutely lovely, and has a very nice family run feel to it. The owners were extremely friendly, and would go no ends to ensure you enjoyed your stay, and were very happy to offer suggested day trips and restaurants which were more 'off piste' in terms of tourist traps. Breakfast was ample, and our suite was lovely with a mezzanine level sleeping quarters and beautiful brand new HUGE bathroom - pictures on the website don't do this hotel justice at all. Perfect location, everything in Verona within a ten minute walk!

“Value for money”

Quiet location away from the tourist bustle; easy walk to train and the tourist attractions. Supermarket close by. Very helpful staff. Good breakfast. Single room was moderate size with a nice big bed - but not a lot of room left over for "stuff". Shower stall was very cramped and I'm skinny - not for "large" people.

Hotel staff was very nice and accomodating. Breakfast was limited but nicely presented and served in charming wing of hotel. Easy walk to downtown and despite having to cross a busy roadway, the train station is walkable with light luggage. Taxi from hotel with several bags cost 10 Euros. This is an older hotel and sounds tended to echo, but due to small number of rooms this was not a real detractor. This is a nice, comfortable hotel if you are not looking to spend a lot of time there and are not looking for full service hotel on line with bigger chains.

“Great week end break”

Arriving at Verona train station from the airport was quick and finding the Scalzi hotel was easy. This made the whole journey stress free. It was easy to reach the main attractions, making easy to plan the visit of the Arena, Giusti Gardens or the Duomo. The hotel service was great, room very clean and welcoming, staff friendly and professional. They made us feel at home. We would highly recommend it to everyone wanting to discover this beautiful city.
