“Runaway from Ft Lauderdale”
My husband and I ran away from the busy Ft Lauderdale area to our new oasis in Stuart. The hotel was adorable "old Florida", neat clean and decorated well. The room had everything a person could want including cookies and mints. The Inn has seating down by the river which kept my husband and I coming back to just enjoy the water and watch the boats. Staff was friendly and helpful. There was a variety of food and beverages offered for breakfast. I can't wait to go back. They are also pet friendly which is a plus.
“All we had hoped it would be.”
Only reason I wouldn't recommend it to others might be that it is a great find, nice getaway. Loved that the rooms were individual, and that the towels were colored: it made the room feel more comfortable.
“pretty riverside setting”
A surprisingly pretty setting for this very clean and well kept motel. A good stopping off point on the way to Miami.
“Clean!”
Monterey Inn was a pleasant surprise. It was comfortable and clean. Had a nice outside area to relax by the marina. It is an older facility but in great shape.
“A little gem right on the water”
This was my second time staying at Monterey Inn and I really enjoyed it. Don't get me wrong; this is not a chic little boutique hotel. It's more like a motel, but it's clean, comfortable, inexpensive and the view of the marina is gorgeous. Having a cup of coffee at a little table overlooking the water is a great way to start the day.

This is an older motel (you actually get a steel key!), but very nicely redone. Perfect AC and room cleanliness.

“Charming hotel with beautiful waterway view”
We really enjoyed our stay at the Monterey Inn & Marina in Stuart, Fl. From our room window we had a beautiful view of sunsets on the St. Lucie River. The rooms are very clean, the rates are quite fair and hotel in't far from the beach and other centers of activity. Plus, it has a relaxing deck right on the river and a fishing pier within a short walk. We will definitely go back.
“Quaint hotel”
Very quaint hotel. Hotel staff very helpful and nice. Like that there was a dock & patio to sit on. Very close to busy road. Was some road noise.
“Impecably clean”
The rooms are comfortable and extremely clean. If you can handle staying at a three star this would be the cleanest and customer friendly hotel ever. Their customer service was superior. The cleanliness of the rooms, bathrooms, sheets and towels leaves nothing to be desired of a 5 star hotel.
