A world class lodge at a world class resort!!! This location has two golf courses surrounded by the beautiful scenery of Vernon.
The studio room we stayed in was clean and vary conveniently located to restaurants, club house, hiking trails and fitness centre.
The menu at both restaurants was extensive and the wine pairings represented the many vineyards of the region. The staff were friendly and very knowledgable about both their menu, their location and the different amenities their resort had to offer

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights and it was bliss! The spa is amazing with lots of free facilities such as pools, hot tubs and saunas. The serenity room and tea room were beautiful places to relax and read in private. I enjoyed a massage which was professional, relaxing and value for money. The rooms are beautiful with a red-lit crystal fireplace that is to be seen to be believed. I loved the floor to ceiling windows proving complete privacy from the free standing bath which overlooked the rolling hills below. Front office staff were discrete, professional and helpful but the restaurant staff could use some training in customer service as wait staff were inattentive at times. I had to ask for desert cutlery, water, plates to be removed.

I stayed two nights and the staff was amazing! Went to the pool in the afternoon and the mainteance guy warned me about the tiles he was needing to replace, but told me to enjoy my swim and he would replace them later so that I could have a swim. Front desk staff was always poliet and welcoming!

"The Castle was a great hotel with a full kitchen!"
I really enjoyed my stay. I found the hotel clean and modern. The only way it could have been better was if we stayed on the top floor. We were at ground level right in front of the hot tub and barbeque so it was a bit annoying to feel like other guests were on your "balcony". But other then that, it was perfect!
Hotel seemed clean, bathroom, toilet and shower were clean. Felt like the pool needed to be cleaned, nothing major but it looked like there was a little bit of scum - maybe from other people's sunscreen- floating on the surface. Overall I would stay here again
The room was ok. We stayed 6 nights and had to changed 3 times due to not vacate during weekend and was upgrade to a suit at our cost. ( the suit was not impressive). The house keeping did not restore the supplies(shampoo, cleanex). toilet was dirty. But the clerk was very helpful. The manager is new and she is trying anyway she can to help.
The cost is reasonable, location is convenience. staff are helpful.

This hotel features a unique inner courtyard with loads of tropical greenery and an actual local creek running through - an oasis in winter! However, if you go to bed early, you might request a room on the outside perimeter. Noise from kids in the pool and late night revellers at the bar/restaurant can be an issue.
At the northern end of Okanagan Lake and Kalamalka Lake, Vernon hosts the summertime Sunshine Festival and the second largest Winter Carnival in North America. Summer activities include boating, rock climbing, and beach volleyball. The area is also home to numerous golf courses. On the edge of town, Silver Star Mountain Resort is one of the top-rated family ski resorts in Canada.
