“May 20-23 '06”
Great place to be, opposite lively port market and surpise(1) concerts at port park area. Not on city square, so if you want seranading tourist bands, do not pick the Emporio. Only drawback was wireless was down first two days, then all okay!
“great view of the port and easy to get to the Zocalo, perfect for coffee at...”
Great balcony and a nice room. Great location for watching the ships come in past the fort. Only a few short blocks from the Zocalo make it easy to go hang out but not have to deal with the noise of all the fun, once you are ready to call it a night. Also great location to the famous coffee shops for breakfast.
“Wonderful Hotel”
Hotel was very clean.Staff for the most part were very nice and helpful. Many spoke english, which was very helpful. I think we were over charged on the breakfast buffet. Suggest you do money exchange be eating in hotel restaurant. The view from are room was fantastic.

The hotel is just renewed and they did a great job! Its probably the nicest hotel in Verzcruz now. Location is very good. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Cant wait to go back.
“Terrific Hotel”
The Emporio was a 1st class hotel right in the center of the old city area. The food in the restauarants was top notch. The hotel was beautiful and the service was great.
“Downtown Veracruz 4-star Value”
A tremendous value, the Emporio is a joy for those traveling to Veracruz. The hotel has been fully remodeled in the past few years and the interior is sparkeling and fresh. The staff is very competent, and always ready to help. The views of the bustling port area is an expeience to watch at all hours of the day and night. Ask for a room with a view of the port and be rewarded with your experience. We stayed at the Emporio during the Norte season, and so limited our times at the hotel to the interior of this magificant place. I'm sorry we didn't spend time at the beautiful outside pools and spa areas. The hotel has woderful restaurants and bars within. A choice always had to be made, particularly in the morning to visit the famous downtown coffeehouse restaurants, or the Emporio's fine restaurants. The front desk staff was very helpful and courteous during our stay. I cannot say too many things about our wonderful experience at this great hotel. Come to Veracruz and stay at the Emporio. You will be rewarded with a memorable experience.
“Good Location, Good Price”
Hotel was well priced and in ideal location for seniors who love to walk, shop and dance! Staff and locals are very friendly and helpful. Look for a local taxi to show you around on a daily basis (tour guide). Very friendly and good rates!
“Very good hotel with a fine dinning room”
Nice hotel very reasonable rates downtown near the water. Service was very good with parking available for free. Not something you will find in the States.
