“Best value in Venice”

We were very impressed with the hotel. To save money, we did not get a room with a lagoon view, but it did have a window that opened to an enchanting little alley. The room was very unique with wood floors and wood built-ins and charming end tables and headboard. It was so cute I had to take a picture of it. It was also extremely clean. I chose the location because the Alilaguna water bus (and the vaporetto) stop in front of the hotel. We had a lot of luggage and did not want to struggle with it. The restaurant is also rated as one of the best on Trip Advisor. The breakfast was included in the cost but we did not know so we went somewhere else the first day where we paid way too much for a capaccino and a croisant (because we sat down, if you stand like the locals it is almost half price.) We found out the next day that breakfast was included. The restaurant is one of the busiest and best on the lagoon. It is not right in San Marcos square, but close enough to walk to and far enough from the noise and traffic. It does not have a lift, but someone carried our luggage to our room so it's no big deal. I asked for a room on the second floor. This would be a 5 star hotel if it had a lift. We had a million dollar view for breakfast for free. We wanted a nice hotel for a couple of days in Venice to start out our cruise with, and we got more than we expected. It was convienient, comfortable, charming in a good taste sort of way, and affordable. I would recommend it to everyone.

“Room with a view !!!”

Great location on the lagoon. Ok breakfast. Nice staff. Great view of the lagoon and street life below.
