We loved staying at this hotel. The staff is very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The room was great, we actually had a private veranda. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The daily breakfast is amazing, they bake their goodies every morning fresh. If we ever go back to Italy we will stay at this hotel again.

Peaceful stay not far from Venice
Enjoyable stay. Helpful staff. Comfortable room. Very good breakfast. In quiet surroundings away from tourist hordes in Venice, but with a bus service near the hotel entrance for day trips to Venice or Padua.

This hotel is not a 4 star hotel as it lacks updated furnishings, a restaurant, valet, a bell hop, air conditioning, showers (room only has a bath tub), business center, fitness center, pool, etc. At best, it is a 3 star hotel. It offers a comfortable bed in rooms featuring furnishings from the early 1900s. There is nothing to do at the property aside from sleeping. The windows do not have screens so if it's too warm, you cannot get air via the windows without bugs entering. There isn't air conditioning. Breakfast is meager as there isn't a restaurant on site so a few pastries and such.

Lovely bit not perfect
There is no elevator and no one offered to help is with luggage. Hotel and room were lovely, but air coywas off for the season and the room was hot. Mosquitoes and stink bugs came in through open windows.

This is place to stay when visiting Venice, absolutely beautiful boutique hotel super clean, superior towels, great bed, towels were replaced each time we left the room. Pool at sister hotel is huge and it’s only 17 minutes by car to Venice or the bus stops across the street and is 25 minutes or train is downtown Mira. Service here was perfect leaving us wanting for nothing and super quiet at night with AC trying getting that in Venice. I highly recommend this hotel and the junior suite we had with a large personal balcony and it priced right!

For old peoples who never travelled....
The pictures for each rooms are not the real pictures.... dont trust the pictures .... This place is badly located... the balcony is not clean... the shower is bad.... minibar prices is robbery... They do the minimum to get the maximum of money.... Insonorisation is bad.... Rent somewhere else of you can... Im used with italian castles and top end villas .... this hôtel is not a luxury one ....

Excellent stay
We were moved to the Villa Franchesci, their sister property right down the road as Villa Margherita was full. Lovely place. They upgraded our room. Wonderful grounds to sit around and have a glass or two of wine. Breakfast was excellent. Took the bus in to Venice. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Jessica is a rock star.

We got in really late, but there was a staff member (who spoke great English) there waiting for us as they have a 24 hour desk. When we needed information about Venice or the surrounding area, the staff was very helpful and even enjoyed helping us.

Lovely hotel great staff
This hotel was the best place I had ever stayed in mainly due to the great staff and very comfortable rooms. There was a bus located within a very short walk across the road and only a 25min trip to Venice.

This hotel was nice and clean; however, it was far from Venice (about 20 km). We had to take the bus to Venice and each round trip ticket to Venice was nine eu per person and it took about 40-45 minutes. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was very good.

Fantastic place to stay in style !!! Royal Villa
Wow !!! I wanted to stay in a Villa while in Venice in a Venetian neighborhood. Am I glad I found this place. This place is located in Mira which is no more than 20 min drive to Venice Grand Canal. It is a excellent value for money. You are paying a lot less for a whole lot more. You can stay in Venice in a small filthy place for a whole lot more or you live in a royal environment and drive 20 min to Venice. I prefer the later one. I didn't find driving in the morning a whole lot of inconvenience. The roads are great and there is good public transport available if you are not driving. The small eateries in the area are just great, authentic Italian food tastes just great. Lot of free parking, place to run around in the morning. We just had good time at this place. My wife and kids loved this place.

Up on arrival they moved us over to the Villa Franceschi which is an outstanding hotel. Staff did everything possible to make us feel at home during our stay.

Lovely find!
Lovely hotel, and great alternative to staying in Venice itself, especially if you have a car. The grounds are lovely; the hotel is lovely; breakfast was marvelous and served in a lovely room; service was good; parking was a breeze; access to Venice was surprisingly easy and, of course, if your purpose is to visit the Brenta Canal area, this hotel is ideally located. The only flaw is the need to take your luggage up steps, but the staff helps with a smile, so this is a minor flaw.

Hidden gem
The Mira-Stra'-Dolo area is famous for the villas built by Venetian noble families on the banks of the Brenta river for their summer retreats. Villa Margherita is one of them. It has very few rooms, so you feel like being in your own Venetian villa. There is a huge park and the morning breakfast is enough for lunch too. I took the bus to Venice, about 25 minutes, very convenient and perfect to avoiding fighting for traffic or wasting hours on parking, which will also cost quite a bit. For about a quarter of what you will spend in Venice for something comparable this is a great alternative. I would suggest to guests that like to be loud or with hyperactive children not to choose this hotel as it is very peaceful and has a lot of antique furniture. Most guests are couples, Europeans or Italians, and the hotel is part of a group called "romantik"

It's a charming country hotel on the Brenta riviera but unless you have a car you have to walk to Mira for food as the restaurant on the website is non existent. Therefore I would not have booked here even for 1 nite.

I fell down the stairs and injured my back. The staff was extremely helpful and arranged everything for me. The hotel and the staff were above what we expected. We would definitely stay there again, in fact, my wife said that she would like to return and spend a week.

Beautiful hotel
The hotel is beautiful at a great location. The breakfast was superb. The town of Mira is worth a visit on its own. Very convenient to Venice. Staff were very helpful. The room was picture perfect and if it was just the two of us it would have been fine. However, for the kids we got a room with a sofa bed. It was the most uncomfortable bed ever, and I mean it! We really thought it may be better for them to sleep on the wooden floor.

We stayed for one night and ate in the restaurant. The room was large and traditionally furnished to a good standard. The layout was a little odd, with the sitting area on an upstairs landing with a second TV there. The restaurant was excellent, we thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Overall, it was very good value for the room and the dinner for the two of us.

Great base for touring Venice
We had a large group (17 people) ranging in age from 9 to 80+, and everyone had a great time. The Villa Margherita was lovely - the rooms and public spaces are all very well decorated and everything was spotless. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. I always felt that the staff really cared about doing an excellent job in every way. Breakfast outside on the patio should not be missed. We found this hotel to be the perfect base for touring Venice for our group - it was easy to get into Venice, but we had more space at this hotel than we would have at a comparable property on the island.

We were booked at this hotel but we were asked to move to the sister hotel when we arrived. This was only due to the staff concerns that our children were too big for us to enjoy the room we had booked. They drove us a few blocks away to Villa Fancesci. Amazing!! Gorgeous hotel and terrific staff. The grounds were beautiful. You sit outside in the gardens to eat breakfast. We could have sat there all day! We highly recommend his hotel. The only drawback was the bus ride to Venice. A little inconvenient but the hotel was worth it.

The location was great. It was short bus ride to Venice. The train station was close as well.We arrived very late.Roberta was kind enough to make us a quick meal in the dinning room. The room was small but very clean and the bathroom was great. The staff there was very accommodating and helpful. They even drove us to the sister hotel for dinner on the second no charge. The food was very good. Would definitely stay there again

Lovely hotel in Veneto
We stayed at Villa Margherita on our way from Venice to Padua. The building is gorgeous, what with good paintings and magnificent grounds. The breakfast is excellent. The rooms are absolutely beautiful, but the heat (just turned on because the weather was getting autumnal) was impossible to control. Fortunately, we could open the window and just heat the lovely Veneto night.

Romantic hotel for couples.
The hotel, surroundings and atmosphere is superb. We were lucky with the perfect weather in late September. Probably because of the out-of-season weekend we were there for, we felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. Everything looks luxurious and abundant with colour. Walks around the little town or Mira Porte are quiet, but sometimes tricky because of the lack of pavements (that's sidewalks for the americans). Getting into Venice is really easy as there's a direct bus from across the road. If you want to get there using public transport straight from the airport, please ask for exact details beforehand. (you need to get a bus towards Padoa/Dolo).

Refined Italian Oasis
The Hotel Villa Margherita stands out as a most positive experience during our family vacation in Italy. The grounds are serene and very well tended. Although 4 centuries old, the building itself is well-maintained and retains its original beauty with modern updates and conveniences. We also appreciated the elegant furnishings throughout the hotel. The fruit basket and freshly cut flowers in our rooms and the hand-painted Venetian masks on the beds provided the added touch. Staff was most helpful and assisted in every way. Breakfast was generous with a wide variety of items to choose from; we were served in gracious surroundings by delightful staff and were made to feel welcome as a family. Thank you for your hospitality and gracious service!

Villa Margherita - much better than in Venice
Although the hotel is located off the center of Venice, transportation is very convenient. Bus stop was nearby, boat port was just 10 minutes ride, and it was not hard to drive directly into Piazzale Roma without reservation. Hotel room was much more spacious than those in Venice, stuff were kind and pleasant. I would choose this hotel when I visit Venice next time.

Beautiful place close to Venice
The hotel is a about a 15 minute drive from the Venice airport or train station. Can easily get to Venice by bus. Hotel was very grand and beautiful. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The air conditioning in the room was terrific - best of all the the places we stayed in Italy. Rooms are quite spacious. Restaurant was lovely and delicious. If you are looking for a place to stay just outside Venice I highly recommend this place.
