“Made my 50th birthday stress free and memorable!”
A lovely, intimate hotel in a quiet location but within 5 minutes of San Marco. Staff extremely helpful and friendly, a good choice of breakfast. 1 minute from the Zaccaria water bus stop coming from the airport. All in all, highly recommended and will be the hotel of choice on our next visit.
“Excellent Hotel - would use again”
This hotel is ideally situated to explore Venice. The Villa Igea is a very clean and tidy hotel, the breakfast is very good with a fine selection of hot and cold dishes, fruit etc. Our room was quite small but adequate and well serviced. It is also very handy to the water bus stop at San Zaccaria and just round the corner from St Mark's Square. The hotel is part of a group and discounts are offered to guests at their other restaurants. Finally, the staff were very friendly and helpfull.
“*~* Fantastic - could not have picked a better Hotel *~*”
Superb Hotel !! Extremely easy to find as within short walking distance to nearest Vaporetto station. Short 5 minute walk to San Marco and a range of resturaunts found easily around the Hotel. The staff were extremely welcoming, helpful, pleasant and could not have helped us anymore throughout our stay. The Hotel is extremely well presented, comfortable and the rooms are stunning. As regular visitors of Venice we would definately return to this Hotel without a doubt. Very Highly recommended !! Thanks for a great stay - hope to return very soon.
“Great hotel - We stayed 5 nights”
We got two rooms for the four of us and stayed five nights. The vaperreto stop is 45 seconds from the hotel, and we ate breakfast(included) at the 4 star hotel owned by the same people. One of our rooms had a bathtub. Rooms were more than just clean, they were very nice. Each room had an overpriced mini-bar where we stored our extra water. :) St Marks and the bridge of sighs are both right around the corner, but far enough away to keep the tourist traffic down. They offer extras like massages, etc in the hotel but we didn't try any of those services. Elevator service. Good views and a great price from expedia.com. Less than half of what the hotel wanted on their website.
“Great for a Spring break”
The hotel is beautifully positioned just 2 minutes from the San Zaccharia water bus stop and 5 minutes from Piazza San Marco. Fresh linen every day, good breakfast and very helpful staff all made for a very pleasant and peaceful stay.
“Hotel VILLA IGEA Venise”
Préstations de très bonne qualité. Accueil chaleureux et excellente situation.
“Hotel super”
Très bien situé, tout près de la place ST Marc et des vaporetti. Excellentes prestations dont le petit déjeuner très copieux.
“Perfection”
Thwe hotel was very close to the water bus station from the airport. The square in which it wa situated was very quiet and yet only yards from the waterfront. The decor was charming - silk walls and hand painted decoration on the doors. There was a lift. Breakfast was first class, a generous buffet including bacon and eggs. Staff were helpful and charming. Can't think of a single criticism. Thoroughly recommend it. Truly magical.
“An excellent hotel”
For a first time visitor to Venice arriving in the dark by boat, this hotel was so easy to find - 5 minutes from the landing point in an exquisite Venetian square. The reception to the hotel is not manned after 8pm, but when we rang the door bell someone came from the sister hotel to check us in, give us our keys and escort us to our room. As requested this was a quiet room at the back of the hotel (so no view), but a large, bright room filled with sunshine every morning. Best bed we've ever had in a hotel. Great shower, though we missed having a bath. Breakfast was plentiful and excellent. Hotel staff could not have been more helpful and pleasant.

Area:
Castello, Venice, Italy: Bordering San Marco and the Rialto and stretching east to some of Venices quietest greenest parts, Castello is the citys most varied sestiere. Its most famous aspect is the Riva degli Schiavoni waterfront next to the Bridge of Sighs, with picture-postcard views onto the lagoon. Yet a few yards from the tourist hoards, the backstreets are quiet and typically Venetian. There are many outstanding churches and art collections in this area.
