“Very Nice Place”

The Santa Margherita Guesthouse is just perfect for a short break in Venice. I stayed there in September 2011. I had a very enjoyable stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms very clean and spacious. Breakfast was nice, a help yourself continental. When you arrive at the Airport take the bus to Piazzale Roma the catch the water bus number 1 to Ca Rezzonico and you can get to the B&B without having to carry your case over any bridges. For those who have not been to Venice before you can get a 24 hour water bus and airport bus 5 ticket for about 21 Euros. The bus journey from the airport cost me 5 Euros. If you get chance visit the beach on Lido and go to Burano island so lovely.

“Amazing Guesthouse”

This is an amazing guesthouse and incredible value for money. It's close to the station and within easy walking distance of many of the major sites. However, it's a very secluded and relaxing place. Since its in the student part of town, there are lots of budget options for food and a lot of the places are visited by locals as well as tourists. Despite being near a couple of major squares (Santa Margherita and Sant Barnaba) it is very quiet and noise was never a problem. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. As well as your room, you have access to a small kitchen and a delightful garden (where I had breakfast every morning as well as often coming back for afternoon coffee). A couple of things to note (which I don't consider negatives but are worth considering). First of all, this is a guesthouse, not a hotel, so there are no staff on site other than in the morning. Also, breakfast hours are very limited (8.30 - 9.30) and they ask you to vacate the rooms for cleaning between 10.00 and 12.00. However, if you can live with those restrictions, then it's a great place to stay.

“Great inexpensive hotel”

Just a 10-15 min walk or so away from San Marco Plaza and the Academia Bridge. Pretty inexpensive for Venice. I felt secluded from the busy places, but I could walk there in just a couple minutes. Very close by to a couple other small plazas with a lot of restaurants and shops, as well as several concert halls and opera houses. I'd definately stay there again.
