“Hôtel San Giorgio: accueil chaleureux même si arrivée trés tardive”

Malgré notre arrivée tardive le dimanche soir, l'accueil dans l'hôtel fut cordial et chaleureux. Un seul bémol, il est difficile de trouver à manger passé 23 Heures!!

“San Giorgio”

Chambre petite mais correcte et propre, salle de bain refaite à neuf, petit dèj très copieux, personnel à l'écoute et chaleureux, possibilité d'utiliser un ordinateur et internet sans frais... Hôtel situé au fond d'une petite ruelle très calme, à 5-10min à pied de la Place St Marc. Je recommande cet hôtel, très bon rapport qualité prix !

“Tucked away but cute hotel”

It took me a while to find it but once I did I was very happy. The staff was very nice, the room was cute and clean, the breakfast was delicious.

“A little strange for my liking”

The rooms were small, to be expected, and they were visualy beautiful, but the rest was a little suprise. The in room shower was a shower head above the toilet with a drain on the floor. Probely not the best hotel for American travelers. On the brighter side the staff were all English speaking friendly and pleasent to speak with. Location was not really near anything but on the other hand, nothing in Vince is far apart.

“Disappointed”

Firstly, the staff are wonderful and the location is excellent, a ten minute walk to Piazza San Marco and the Rialto not much more. The breakfast is also excellent. The problem I had was with my room (a single, 21). If the inspectors saw this room, i am sure the third star would fly right out the window. The decor needs a spruce up, it looks tired. The aircon blew air but didn't work properly; the 'shower' was one of those portaloo style ones (wet room) where you are showering on your toilet seat, there was scum up the walls, squelchy under your feet; the tiny box TV showed only black & white fuzz (this is a minor point coz I didn't go to Venice to watch TV); also be careful the maid doesn't leave your window ajar as you have a night battling the mozzies as I did. All in all, the staff and the breakfast made it bearable, and the bed was comfy. Could be so much more.

“Misleading”

This is my first time ever leaving a feeback on any of my hotels I've stayed in because I want to make sure others are not misled like me. 1. This hotel does NOT have A/C. They have a fan unit without the compressor. 2. Bottom of the bathroom door is rotting due to water splash from shower. 3. Shower is one of those that you have to sit on the toilet because there is no showering area. 4. Room feels like a cheap love motel than a hotel room. 5. I didn't think it was a good price at all.
