- A tax is imposed by the city: EUR 2.5 per person, per night for guests 16 and older and EUR 1.25 per person, per night for guests aged 10-15 years old. Further exemptions may apply, subject to submission of proper documents to the property, to patients, their companions and people staying in the city for specific purposes/duties. The tax only applies to the first 5 nights of a stay, and is collected at the property in cash. 50% reduction applies for 2012: from 9 January to 3 February, 23 February to 31 March, 1 November to 2 December, and 10 to 22 December.

“An authentic way to enjoy Venice”

Residenza Castello has been created by converting a traditional house in historical centre of Venice into 4 self catering apartments. Tucked away in one of the myriad back alleys backing onto a canal, the apartments are charming and homely yet equipped with all modern features. The winning feature is the location - within 2 minutes walk of Piazza San Marco and Basilica, and a 5-6 minute walk from Rialto vaporetto stop. Our apartment was comfortable and tidy (daily cleaning service) and equipped with a TV, microwave, gas cooking range, fridge and washing machine, hot/cold water and free WiFi. Beds were very comfortable and linen of good quality. There were two bedrooms (one in the attic) and a living room with open plan kitchen. Lots of small restaurants in the vicinity to choose from. If you prefer self catering, you can get supplies from a small supermarket in the next alley (one minute walk away). We had a great three nights' stay in Venice, made memorable by the Residenza Castello

“unproffesional and unfriendly”

I would never go back the owner was irate most the time and made us feel uncomfortable the whole time
