“Perfect Hotel, Perfect Location, and Great Staff”
The hotel was such a wonderful surprise! Everything is perfect, except for the many flights of stairs you have to take to get up to your room. (what do you expect from a palace built in the 16th century) After touring Italy for 2 weeks our luggage was crazy heavy and lugging it was rough, but with that said - I will just pack a lot lighter next time, because the rooms were worth the haul! The hotel staff is very pleasant and fun to talk to! They gave great advice and seemed to like their job. Plus the location could not be better!
“A real appartment 1 minute from the Rialto Bridge”
The tall ceilings, thoughtfully decorated and well-appointed appartment made this Bed & Breakfast truly a home from home. The location is quiet but central. The kitchen is very well equipped and the supermarket only a minute away through the maze of alleys. The bathroom could do with more shelving for sponge-bags etc. The bedroom needs a dressing mirror and there are no views from any of the rooms, nor is there a balcony to enjoy the morning/evening lazily with a glass of juice/wine as at the B&B Rialto where we stayed the week before. But the washing machine, incredibly helpful staff and comfortable beds and facilities make this a very good place to stay for a long time or to stop over after a long period travelling. Added bonus: the Church directly opposite has services everyday, Mass at 7pm.
“Excellent”
Very pleased with the Residenza Ca'Foscolo. The location is between the San Marco piazza and the Rialto bridge, so pretty central and very convenient. The hotel was spacious and the apartment itself was bigger than we expected. We had three children and the apartment was large enough for all of us. The manager was superb - she spoke very good English, was very welcoming, showed us around the hotel, gave suggestions on where to visit and ordered the taxi for us on our last day. The rooms were very clean and well furnished. Breakfast was provided in the apartment - cereals, bread for toasting, pre-packed brioches, etc -which was very handy as it meant we could have breakfast when we wanted. There didn't appear to be a lift, which was fine for us, but it wouldn't be ideal for anyone who struggles to climb stairs or has to carry a buggy / pushchair. An ideal base for exploring the city and would recommend to anyone else visiting Venice.
“Residenza Ca' Foscolo : proche de toutes commodités”
Proche du quartier Rialto très vivant, 200m de la place St Marc, un calme absolu. Accueil très sympathique. Les enfants y sont les bienvenus. Nous y retournerons c'est certain.
“Perfect Location”
We stayed in a two bedroom apartment mid June 2011. Venice is amazing and the location of the apartment was perfect, 5 mins walk to St Marks and 2 minutes from the Rialto Bridge. Rooms were large with ensuites. Staff were very friendly and helpful with directions etc. no complaints. Highly recommend.
“Accommodations run by people who care.”
We were very pleased with our stay. The apartment was exceptionally clean and the staff more than accommodating. The only problem was: the rooms were on the top floor and after a long day of travel it seem like a million steps up, well only three flights up. On arrival our contact helped us with our luggage and was very pleasant. Prior to arriving we were contacted by the hotel and given instructions how to find the apartment. Upon check in were were given a tour of the accommodations and were made feel comfortable. The staff were good ambassadors for the hotel (apartment) and for Venice. Very professional. Thanks for the wonderful stay.
“Great Space, Great Price”
We arrived late Friday night, due to a missed connection in Paris. I called ahead and when we arrived, there was a note on the door, an intercom connection to the owners (who live on the top floor) and easy access to our apartment. The one bedroom apartment was spacious, included a large living room and up to date kitchen, and was perfect for our three night stay. The price was better than a single room at many Venice hotels and the apartment was much more comfortable than a hotel room.
“Ca' Foscolo, au coeur de Venise !”
L'hotel est magnifiquement situé, à quelques pas du magnifique pont du Rialto et à 10 minutes (à pied) de la place St-Marc. On ne pouvait demander mieux. La maison a été restaurée avec goût et notre suite avait tout le nécessaire.
“great hotel in the heart of san marco!”
we were a party of 5 and the hotel room was perfect. two king size beds in two separate rooms and a portable bed (read: not a pull-out couch). full stocked kitchen, including milk in the fridge, coffee, and breakfast noshings. cookware and a nearby supermarket made it possible to prepare morning eggs for a "regular" american breakfast (which we were all craving after a week of traveling throughout italy). rooms and bathrooms were clean and comfortable. staff was very helpful. would highly recommend this hotel.
“Beautiful apartment in a perfect location”
My husband, my 2 young sons (6 & 8) were here for three nights near the end of March and loved the Residenza Ca'Foscolo! We were in Suite, next to Reception. It was beautifully appointed, in a perfect location close to the Rialto Bridge, but quiet. It is also close to St. Mark's Square. We loved that there was a kitchen, dishwasher and washing machine. Breakfast was great too. It's restocked everyday too. Packaged croissants apricot and chocolate), little apricot pies, bread for toasting, crostini, cookies, jam, Nutella, yogurt, juiceboxes, ham, cheese, milk, coffee and tea. They had one of those stovetop espresso makers too. The bedroom was very large with a kingsized bed and the largest wardrobe we'd ever seen. The suite had twelve foot ceilings and the wardrobe took up a whole wall up to the ceiling! It was way more space than we needed. The bedroom also had a beautiful Murano glass chandelier. The living room had a double pull out sofabed and a tv. There was a modern dining area with seating for four. The bathroom was spacious with a shower, toilet and bidet, and a spacious vanity to store your toiletries. Europeans, I understand, don't tend to have clothes dryers, so there was folding rack to dry your clothes. We loved this place. We can't say enough about it. Our hostess, Elisabeth, is ever so gracious. She speaks wonderful English and is very helpful. Oh, and there's free wi-fi too. We would have stayed longer if we could have.

San Marco, Venice, Italy: San Marco (St Marks) is quintessential visitors Venice. The Piazza San Marco, famous for its pigeons, campanile, basilica, Palazzo Ducale (Doges Palace) and expensive cafes, is unmissable. The waterfront views are legendary and more gondolas depart from here than anywhere else in the city. In season the Piazza teems with day trippers though just a block or two away streets are quiet and offer more museums and palaces to explore.
