“Clean, excellent B&B”

Nicola was very nice and very attentive to us, though we did not meet up at the ferry we did manage to find our way to the hotel. He showed us where to go and were to eat. My girlfriend and I were very pleased with the service and cleanliness of the hotel. The location is west of San Marco but in a very quiet area that is not touristy at all . I would not hesitate to go back.

“At home in Venice”

Staying at the Oceano Mare is like staying at a friend's house. Nicola, who met us along the way to help us find the B &B, is a wonderful and welcoming host. He was always helpful with directions and dining recommendations, both of which are key to enjoying one's stay in Venice. Our room and the adjoining bathroom was clean and comfortable. The breakfast room was pleasant and the morning choices plentiful. The Oceano Mare is a simple honest place; it does not attempt to give you a "lux" experience, but what it does do, and it does it very well, is give you a place that feels like home at the end of a long day getting lost in one of the most amazing cities in the world. When we come back to Venice, and we will be, we will be staying at the the Oceano Mare. Thanks Nicola - it was wonderful and your thoughtfulness will be long remembered.
