“Location is not exactly in Venice but great price for this type of hotel”

hotel was better than we expected and venice aint too far away from there. there is convenient travel to venice offered by hotel but it is expensive. if your planning to go venice everyday, you would be better of staying in venice. Hotel has nice fountains, and interior is amazing. i will go again.

“Superb!”

Excellent, no problems at all. Everyone complaining about the stink have baseless accusations and even if there was a problem, it certainly didn't exist in the winter months from Oct-Dec.

“Laguna Palace - bonne base arrière”

Hôtel situé à 10/15 minutes à pied de la gare de Mestre, elle même à une demi heure de Venise. Bonne literie, buffet du petit déjeuner correct, personnel agréable et anglophone. Moderne, design et fonctionnel, plutôt "hôtel d'affaire" que de tourisme même s'il enjambe d'une façon étonnante un joli petit port de plaisance. Dans un quartier assez tranquille mais sans charme, avec quelques petits restos de dépannage à proximité, il convient assez bien comme base arrière pour visiter Venise, l'idée n'étant quand même pas de rester à l'hôtel dans une telle ville.

“Can't wait to go back!”

The hotel is great and the service is fabulous. However, the restaurant has very few food options for lunch/dinner. Breakfast is great though. Another thing is that internet for 24 hours is extremely expensive. They need to reduce the rate a little because the network keeps getting disconnected.

“Business Hotel”

Convenient for those who are either in the area on business, would like a hotel near Marco Polo airport or Mestre train station. Hotel has free water-taxi into Venice - however it is during the day only - so plan accordingly. If you want to go back & forth to Venice, stay in Venice, because the cabs from Laguna Palace are expensive (and you can, if you leave dinner or drinks too late, get "stuck" in Venice waiting for a taxi). Hotel has decent restaurant/bar/breakfast that serves til 12am. Good too, since there is really nothing around within walking distance. Overall service is friendly and efficient. Recommended for business travellers.

“Hotel is not in Venice!”

This is a very modern hotel...cool, clean, well maintained as far as we could tell. Breakfast was outstanding, the best we had in any hotel in Italy by far. Front desk clerks were courteous and spoke English very well. Just be sure you realize, when booking this hotel, that it is in "mainland" Venice, not Venice proper. It is, technically, in Mestre, which is a train stop before Venice. The hotel offers a relatively cheap shuttle to Venice which will allow you to stay all day, and this worked out fine for us...but you should know this going in.

“Going to Venice on a budget”

Our room was great on size but there was a lingering smell of mustiness, beds were comfortable and the double bed was great for me since i am used to my cal king. As far as looks there was nothing special about it but getting to Venice was no problem, we only stayed for 2 days so it was good enough for the 2 days. Nothing special but cheaper than anything in Venice and breakfast was pretty good.

“Was much better in past visit”

Was a very pleasent stay on our honeymoon in 2002. Was very dissappointed on our recent visit. The building and location are great. The staff was less than desirable.

“Will be my last choise”

Since the hotel has been taken over by NH, I can see the quality and maintenance going down. Carpet very dirty, chairs are dirty, matress not comfortable at all to relax after a long business day, electrical switches placed in very inconvenient locations unreachable from beds, overall cleaniness not satisfactory at all. Something I have gone through the last two times; I have booked the building A, have ended up at building B (very inconvenient, and lower standards, although same price). Will only use this hotel in the future, if nothing else available.
