“Venice 2011”

Stayed at Locanda Ca'San Marcuola.... it was very nice for the price... location close to train (which was our goal - to not have to used water taxi w/ our luggage)- however it was slightly difficult to navigate there on foot - since names of streets change frequently in Venice and dead end without notice... once we located the hotel it was easy to find. There was a water taxi stop right by the hotel - however we walked everywhere. Very nice that they offered free internet for 30 min. blowdryer in bathroom wasn't the greatest... room small but we only stayed two nights and barely spent time in the room anyway. Pillows very hard - but I had my neck pillow from the plane ride so it helped. Bed was comfortable and room was cleaned daily. Breakfast was the normal european fair and staff very attentive. I would stay here again!

“great location for vaporetto”

Low prices, right next to a Vaporetto stop, a very short walk to many of the best wine bars and restaurants in the city. Staff were very friendly and spoke English. The canal view is not really worth the extra cost, breakfast is included but is minimal.

“Easy-in-easy-out location in Venice”

Hotel selected based on location to rail, bus, vaporeto. Easy location with luggage and to make rapid connections to rail, or airport via bus and your vaporeto ticket is good on the airport bus. From vaporeto stop to hotel front door is 25 yards/meters at most. Hotel is clean, exactly as reviewed by many others. No frills, small hotel, standard European, clean, nicely tiled modern bath, room of sufficient size and not cramped. Lacks any English language TV or newspapers. Free internet for 30 minutes and modest pricing beyond that at a location in the lobby. Staff efficient and responsive. Not the hotel to choose if you want amenities or to hangout in the hotel. Elevator is tiny, slow, and a bit of an adventure, but we didn't end up using it after getting luggage up the first day. Would visit here again.

hotel très bien placé à 2 pas du vaporetto par contre attention au bruit de moteur du vaporetto depuis la chambre. Déjeuner bien sauf le pain Accueil très gentil chambre spacieuse

“Hôtel accueillant”

Accueil très sympathique. Hotel très bien placé à seulement 20 mètres de l'arrêt d'un vaporetto station san marcuola. Seul bémol le petit déjeuner un peu bruyant avec le coin cuisine dans la même salle.

“Nice location, nice people, if the AC is fixed would be better”

The location was great. Right in the middle of Rome, a short walk away from everything! The people were very friendly, and spoke many languages (English included). The maid service was very nice and respectful. The only problem was the AC was broken! It was high 90s all week and it was broken all week. They provided a small fan, which was of some comfort, but still, I expected more. They said we could relocate to one of their sister hotel, but it was just a pain to have to pack up, get a taxi and move just to do so again when I leave. Beds were a bit small, but for the price, it was understandable and works. The bathroom was nice sized for European standards and good enough for my needs. Recommended if the AC works!
