I recently stayed at Locanda Ca Le Vele in Venice and was very impressed with the location and the staff. The hotel is right off the Ca d'Oro waterbus stop on the Grand Canal and is within walking distance of the Rialto (5-10 mins) and St Marks Piazza (10-15 mins). The hotel staff was very courteous and helpful and I would stay at this hotel again and recommend it to my friends.

“4 jours et 3 nuits de bonheur”

Très bon accueil avec une personne qui comprenait l'essentiel du français et bien sûr l'anglais. Le personnel est sympathique et serviable. Nous avons pu laisser notre valise dès notre arrivée alors que la chambre n'était pas prête et on nous l'a gardée le dernier jour jusqu'à notre départ. Le petit déjeuner était très correct mais surement pas suffisant si on veut tenir jusqu'au soir comme on peut le faire avec un petit déjeuner de chez nos amis allemands ou britanniques.

“Fantastic with lovely Venecian charm.”

This is a lovely bed and breakfast. We stayed for 6 nights in March; the room was beautifully decorated in typcial Venecian splendour. Our room overlooked the canal. The bathroom was very clean and the shower was great - it really woke you up in the morning. We only had one minor complaint and that was the hard mattress but apparently this is typical in Venice so was to be expected. The owners were really helpful and friendly; it's a small family run business. It could do with a bigger sign outside the building as we did have a bit of trouble spotting it. The breakfast was continental with cheese, jams, breads, criossant (with apricot jam in side - yum!# any drink you wanted; one of us had hot chocolate in the mornings which was delightful. It is situated very conveniently just off the main shopping street in Cannareggio and a couple of minutes away from the Vaporetto. The Rialto Bridge and St Marks #San Marco) square are a short walk away; about a 10 minute stroll. Cannareggio is quieter than San Marco and the hotel was lovely and quiet in the evenings but it still has a lively street life with plenty of restaurants and shopping. Overall, it was a really great place to stay, so central to everything and we would thoroughly recommend staying here.

The hotel was nice. Internet in room. Breakfast in room. But no elevator. We knew this when we booked the hotel.

Ce petit hôtel familial est vraiment très bien placé, calme, bien tenu. Le personel est adorable, super le pâtit dej servie dans la chambre. Free WIFI, vu sur le canal, a deux pas de Rialto et a coté du Canareggio authentique. En famille (deux enfants) la grande chambre a été d'un très bon rapport qualité prix. A conseiller!
