“Ville de Lido”

The Ville de Lido was absolutely amazing - the lady on the reception could not have been more helpful, pleasant and full of information! The room surpassed all my expectations, and my mother's, with whom I was holidaying. The little kitchenette proved invaluable when making coffee and tea, and preparing breakfast, and the choice of food from the nearby Billa supermarket was mouth watering. The room was extremely clean, and maintained by thorough cleaning staff; lovely and warm and very cosy when the sights of Venice proved too much and we stayed in. I would, without hesitation, stay here again!

“Great Easter Break”

We arrived for Easter weekend and found "Le Ville" to be a very pleasant hotel come apartment complex. We took our 13 yr old and 3 yr old and they both enjoyed the accommodation. There was plenty of room, two well equipped bathrooms and a small but functional kitchen area, which we didn't make full use of. The staff were very helpful and friendly, organising and assisting with transport, recommending places to shop and eat. Breakfast was included and consisted of a wide range of pastries, breads, breakfast cereals, meats, cheeses, fruit juices etc. Overall we were very impressed. Our only disappointment was that the pool was not ready for use (it was warm enough to swim at least on one day through the weekend

The hotel was absolutely beautiful - far better than we imagined. The staff were lovely and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

“Super”

L'appartement est trés grand, propre, calme, bien équipé. La terasse est trés sympa . Un trés bon hôtel que nous recommandons. La situation au Lido est un bon choix (pour le mois d'avril). Il y a une ambiande de vacances de bord de mer. La piscine est ouvert dès fin avril. Le passage de la voiture sur le ferry (monspace + 2 adultes + 2 enfants) est de 77 € (A/R). Les enfants ont adoré prendre le vaporetto pour se rendre à Venise (trés rapide). ll faut néanmoins se rendre jusqu'à l'arrêt (10/15 min à pied). Nous l'avons fais en voiture mais cela n'est pas possible en plein été car l'ile est alors bomdée.

Quiet (in April) garden hotel near to public beach. Rooms very clean and reasonable price for Venice. Equipped with fridge & two hobs available for cooking. No kettle just the standard Italian expresso thing. Two pots, basic utensils, crockery, glasses, plus a few other bits and pieces. Cutlery in drawer of coffee table (took me a while to find). Satellite TV with BBC World only really decent channel. Friendly staff. If arriving after 8.30pm when reception closes need to phone number on reception door (include "0" for area code). Vaporetto stop and supermarket within 10 minute walk. Can hire bikes at hotel for easy no-hills cycling.

“Two holidays in One”

Two holidays in one - because the Lido is a lovely relaxed Italian resort which could be anywhere and then the busy main island of Venice is just 15 minutes away on the water bus. This hotel was a real find. We went with another couple so the two bedroom apartment was ideal - a private garden too!! Lovely quiet area, a short walk from the main restaurant area. The restaurants on the Lido are excellent quality.

“Très agréable!”

Cette résidence hôtelière nous a beaucoup plu: sa situation toute proche de la mer était intéressante (une rue à traverser!). Les commerces se trouvent à environ 10minutes à pied (sans forcer). Le parc de l'hôtel est très beau et bien entretenu, belle piscine. L'appartement était très confortable avec tout ce qu'il faut dedans... Beau mobilier et ambiance chaleureuse "à la vénitienne". On a aussi beaucoup aimé la terrasse (chiases + table + chaise longue). Buffet du petit-déjeuner bien fourni.

bel établissement situé à 10 mn de l'embarcadaire pour la place St Marc - la suite 2 chambres 2 salles de bains 1 sejour est idéale pour 4 personnes ( un peu juste pour 6 ) - grand confort - 4 étoiles et non 3 étoiles comme indiqué sur le site ( une erreur dans le sens là n'est pas une faute ) - pour le 1 er janvier la piscine ressemblait à une patinoire mais en été elle doit être agréable - cadre & vaste jardin sont agréables en toutes saisons - plage du Lido à 100 m - photos et description conforme à la réalité -

“Save money and get mod cons in Venice!”

After some thought and research, we decided to book a hotel on the Lido . This way we got a nice hotel at a good price - a hotel this clean and roomy (an enormous suite for the two of us - although they did lock the extra bedrooms... we still got a huge room, en suite , living room, kitchenette with fridge and TWO balconies!!!) Very well cleaned and a lovely pool - not that we used it in late Oct! Only downside is that it is not in Venice proper but the Lido is a nice place with cafes and a supermarket . It is a ten minute walk to the frequent vaporetto and there is a lovely view of venice form there. It takes about ten minutes to reach St Marks Square and the same boat takes you all the way up the Grand Canal - in fact this is how we reached the hotel from the airport - so quite an airport transfer!! After two days all the necessary boat trips did become a bit of a chore and I felt permanently giddy! However, I would strongly recommend at least thinking about staying on the Lido (far nicer than any other out of town location and peaceful - I have rad that Venice is noisy!) We were lucky and had lovely wether - I can't imagine all the baots and walking being very pleasant in rain.

“Brilliant hotel, great staff”

Loved our little mini appartment, with its own kitchen and little balcony. There was plenty of room for the five of us and we found the staff very friendly and helpful. Would definitely go back!
