We only had 24 hours in the city, Upon check in Valentina pulled out a Mao and gave us amazing recommendations and a detailed plan of attack. She was so friendly and wonderful!

Beautiful room, right beside the water, very convenient as a water bus hub is directly outside so very easy to get around. Downside, the breakfast was not great and facility doesn't support a buffet well....

A picturesque hotel right at F te Roma Stop
We chose the hotel mostly for its location right next to the water taxi stop, as we needed a night between getting off the cruise ship and our flight the next morning. Our room was ready exactly at check in time, but there was no problem storing our bags early as we explored. They also accommodated our request for 2 beds instead of 1 without a problem. Vecellio is on the side of Venice facing Merano, opposite from St Marks Square and the Rialto market. However it’s just a 20 minute walk to get to Rialto. The room was cozy and comfortable, windows had great insulation so no sounds from the sidewalk right outside the windows. The bathroom is tiny, but that’s normal for these hotels. WiFi was great and there are several awesome restaurants nearby. Only issue was that the rooms AC unit was above the door around the corner from beds, so the beds got little air at night, for August it was uncomfortable but not unbearable. We left super early in the morning so didn’t get to experience breakfast, but I would not hesitate to stay here again.

The female manager was rude and un accommodating to our request one evening. We hope hotel management can look into this manager’s behaviour and lack of the highest hospitality service she clearly lacks!

Got what I paid for, I suppose.
Although the pictures on the website made me think that I’d be enjoying a view onto the laguna, my room was intact in the annex a five minute walk away. The room was very basic with a broken chair, desk, empty fridge and wardrobe with a malfunctioning door. The walls were dented and scuffed and there was no lighting other than the main light. The room was little bigger than the (actually quite comfortable) double bed. However, the room seemed clean and I felt safe. All in all, at £50 per night in May, you most definitely get what you pay for.

It states check in time until midnight on the Expedia, we arrived at 10.30pm the hotel door was locked and we tried call the hotel reception million times without reach. Horrible experience!

The hotel's in a nice part of Venice, much quieter with less tourist attracions and lots of less crowded little alleyways to get lost in. It's based right near a non-busy waterbus terminal which is handy and a few nice restaurents very nearby, supermarket and coffee shop/ice-cream parlour. Room was a bit grotty, clean but dated in a bad way. Large bathroom. There were no tea or coffee making facilities nor lobby area as such, the hotel isn't even guarded at night and you're reliant on other guests to lock up after themselves for security. We accidently overslept and weren't charged though but owner wasn't exactly welcoming or friendly. Ok for a bed for the night bu that's where it begins and ends.

First, we got to the hotel to check in, and they said that we did not book for the actual Hotel, so they gave us a downgraded guest room. I showed them my Hotels.com confirmation that I did indeed book for the hotel, but they still refused to Give me what I paid for. They were very rude and spoke very very little English. Also, the room is on a Main Street where lots of people walk all day and all night long, so it’s very loud, which prevents sleep. Also, keep in mind that there is no AC during the winter and opening the doors don’t let in very much air, so prepared to be very hot at night.

We were pretty excited about our stay here. Small quaint hotel with very Venetian style rooms. Its a great location for getting out to the public transportation. My only beefs were that I got an ice cold shower on our second day and the hotel staff really had nothing to say or do about it. I understand things happen but this is something I paid for and if you can't deliver its your responsibility to make it right. Also the bed was a double that was made up of two twins which I have no problem with, its europe, but one leaned pretty strong to the inside and did make for some discomfort. Overall, I just think the owners should have done more about the cold water. I booked through Hotels.com and even they tried calling about the situation. The owner acknowledged the issue but still didn't care to make things right. One should feel safe when making a booking that they are provided all that is promised and if not then things will be made right.

Typical 3 star economy hotel in Venice. Hosts were very friendly and helpful, room was small but clean. Mattress was very soft, no support. Continental breakfast was very basic, some packaged pastries and yogurt. Location was good easy access to water transport and short walk to major attractions, although we did get lost coming back from St. Mark's. I would consider staying again but would ask for room with a newer mattress.

Hotel Vecellio was located right next to a water bus stop, so if you plan to visit other islands near Venice(Murano, Burano) it will be a good place to stay. But the room was also facing the bus stop which means you can hear people talking on the streets, a bit noisy for me. The one thing particular that I want to complain is the blanket, it was old and doesn't look very clean, not very comfortable during the night.

Fantastic little hotel, great location just a few yards from water buses and lovely restaurants. Staff very friendly and helpful. My only criticism is that there where no English TV stations but the wifi was great. Would definitely stay again.

Hotel site says they have air conditioning but we learned after checking in that it was non functional. After talking with hotel staff we found out that the air conditioning had not been working for quite some time, the part was on order from France and they had no idea when or if it would be fixed. The did supply a fan that barely worked. The hotel is very close to the water bus stop, but very noisy due to the location. Not easily accessible by water taxi.

Easy hotel to get to from the airport if you don't know where you are going in Venice. Right at ferry stop for day trip on ferries and ferry to train station. Easy walk to all major attractions

Great location and sweet room with a lovely view.
Great location with some late night ambient noise but was expected as was literally based where the water taxi station was. We had a sweet little room with a nice view of the lagoon with a nice sea breeze. This was welcome as we were told in advance that air-con was down for the duration of our stay. It didn't effect our decision as the location was great. Breakfast was ok and hit the spot.

Everything was perfect. The hotel is ideally located next to Fonte Nova which grants you easy access to the Vaporetto directly to the Airport along with Vaporetto to other parts of the city. The hotel is also within walking distance to San Marco, Rialto and any other landmarks we needed to visit. Reception was always helpful and kind no matter the request. Free breakfast is standard but is free! Definitely did the job. I can't recommend this place enough. If possible, request Room 8 which is the only room that gives out on to the water, giving us a waterfront view with beautiful sunrises each morning. Would 100% stay again.

Wonderful stay, clean and comfortable room. It was small but who wants to spend time in the room when in Venice other than to get some sleep? Staff very friendly. Easy to get to from airport or train. Breakfast was nice, but wish they provided some fruit as well.

The hotel is a little old and very not modern at all, but if you don't mind that its a great place to stay! The staff was excellent and really helpful! It's also right opposite a water boat stop, and a direct boat from the main train station which is really convenient.... All in all we had a great experience there and I would definitely recommend it!

Mixed feelings on this hotel...
At first I was slightly surprised by the hotel and its tired appearance. Bed linen was a little dog-earred and needed to be replaced, lamp wasn't working, furniture a bit shabby etc. But the place grew on me. Despite being in need of some renovation it was actually extremely clean. The staff were also exceptionally helpful and couldn't do enough to be hospitable. Venice is extremely expensive, and I did feel I got more for my money in other Italian cities in terms of accommodation. (It's a truly magical city though despite the spendy prices). A quick tip for this hotel: read your booking carefully. I had booked into the annex by accident which is round the corner from the main hotel and definitely doesn't have a view of the water front. The walk down the street to the hotel reception was mildly inconvenient too. I'd avoid this if I was to stay again.

Near a water bus stop, it is easy to get home if you are tired. Otherwise, a short walk to the middle of the city... the winding streets of venice make this an adventure if you are the type to explore the city.

2nd stop from the airport via water taxi. Short walk from there to hotel. Outdoor restaurants really close by. Easy walking distance from hotel to St. Mark's square and other sites. Water taxi stop to cruise ship terminal nearby. Hotel breakfast was great each morning. I would stay there again.

From Puerto Rico to Venice.
Hotel located in front of the dock. Easy access to Murano and Burano islands. The room was what we expected for the value of our money. Not too friendly and cooperative people at the front desk which is something we value as travelers. Would not recommend it.
