“Great spot in Venice for the price and quality of hotel”
Right in the midde of Venice, easy to get just about anywhere. The hotel is an old building but just recently renovated, so it feels just like new from the inside. Staff was helpful and friendly. Breakfast is normall what you would expect in Europe. Will be returning with my wife next trip, and this is probably where I would choose to stay.
“I would stay here again”
I was very satisfied with this hotel. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Great location, 5mins from st marks square and vaporreta stop for airport and close to a choice of restaurants. I stayed on first floor that was newly renovated.
“Très bien placé”
Excellent hotel, sauf que notre chambre était mitoyenne du local de préparation du petit déjeuner, réveil garanti tous les jours à 07h 00 . Autrement , bien .
“Quiet location in a very busy city”
The Hotel Palazzo Vitturi, while only 15 minutes stroll from St. Mark's Square, provides a peaceful haven away from the the crowds. We booked one of their superior double rooms, which was spacious and featured a very large and comfortable bed. The continental breakfast was reasonably varied. There are many restaurants within a short walk. We would recommend the Osteria Ae Sconte in Corte Perini. It's a good idea to reserve a table. The hotel staff were all friendly and helpful. If visting Venice again I would have no hesitation in rebooking Hotel Palazzo Vitturi.
“Great place to stay”
I really enjoyed this hotel. It was very clean, beautiful and updated inside, located directly across from a lovely basilica and small canal on Santa Maria Formosa Square. It is a very close walk to San Marco Square and the Rialto Bridge. There are restaurants close by.... the best restaurant I ate at while in Italy is one minute around the corner (the Osteria Al Mascaron, 5225 Calle Longa Santa Maria Formosa). The room we stayed in was lovely, clean, in great condition, and quiet. The bed was firm and comfortable. The bathroom was wonderful. The dining room is cute and the complimentary breakfast was great, consisting of breads, cakes, meats, cheese, spreads, fruit, yogourt, cereal, coffee, tea, and juices. There is a very small lounge with a bar but we didn't hang out there. There is free Wi-fi if you have your own computer/device, but there is no computer in the lobby for those who do not bring your own computer. The only down-side was that they were renovating, so the construction noise started at 9-10:00am, which didn't bother us because we didn't ever see the area of construction, and we were on our way out of the hotel by then anyway.
“fantastic location”
Much like every building in Venice, this is a hundreds-year-old small palace that has undergone some renovations. Air conditioning and vents have been built into the walls, which is a huge plus when it's 90+ degrees outside. Rooms had very high ceilings which were in the middle of some plaster work. Housekeeping kept the rooms spotless. There are a lot of stairs to climb to the first floor, fine for the fit, otherwise be forewarned. The breakfast is modest but very nice. Cereals, yogurt, sliced meats, cheeses, some bread and pastries, no fresh fruit, so we bought our own the afternoon before at the stand right outside the hotel. Excellent coffee, and tea available. All of the people who work the front desk were helpful, spoke excellent English, and were attentive to any special request, such as hot water for a cup of tea in the evening. You are a 5 minute walk from Piazza San Marco, and as such are right in the center of all of the tourist sites. This is a small, well run hotel, which satisfied my family of four (my wife and 13 and 17 year-old sons). We did not expect a luxury hotel with a lot of amenities, just a clean, cool place to wind down after a long day of walking. We spent 4 nights there and definitely got our money's worth.
“Hotel Palazzo Vitturi...A Jewel not to be missed!”
The Palazzo Vitturi is an amazing stay! On our second trip to Venice 4 years after our first we decided to stay at the Vitturi once again. After booking through Expedia, I called Elena to ask for the room that we stayed in the last time. She looked in their reservations (4 years prior) and booked the same room for us. Much to our dismay when we arrived she told us that the night clerk had given away our room the night before. Elena explained that 6 out of 8 of the hotel rooms were available and we could have our pick. We stayed in the suite overlooking the square for 20 euro more a night!!! A total steal. The rooms as before are comfortable and spotless. Elena and her staff do everything in their power to make your stay a delight. I know my partner and I will return again soon!

Area:
Castello, Venice, Italy: Bordering San Marco and the Rialto and stretching east to some of Venices quietest greenest parts, Castello is the citys most varied sestiere. Its most famous aspect is the Riva degli Schiavoni waterfront next to the Bridge of Sighs, with picture-postcard views onto the lagoon. Yet a few yards from the tourist hoards, the backstreets are quiet and typically Venetian. There are many outstanding churches and art collections in this area.
