“good hotel for visiting Venice”
we were very happy with our choice of hotel. we took buses from outside into Venice (about 20 mins)and to the airport.staff were friendly and helpful. Mestre itself has shops and restaurants within a five minute walk.

“Extremely satisfied with the Hotel Garibaldi”
Hotel Garibaldi is an excellent hotel in a great location. Reception was excellent, friendly and knowledgeable and nothing too much trouble, they were always ready to help. Hotel was very clean and rooms were cleaned every day with fresh towels. Continental breakfast every morning was good. Hotel Garibaldi was in a great area for shopping, socialising and eating. Bus stops were just round the corner for the number 2 bus straight into Venice and the same bus returning stopped right outside the hotel. The number 15 bus from the airport was a 10 minute walk away at the bottom of the square although this did stop running at night. We arrived at 9 pm but we still managed to get a bus to the train station and then the number 2 busstop was right outside to take us to the hotel.

We stayed in this hotel on our Easter visit to Venice. Great location as the number 2 bus ( direct to Venice) stops just outside. Managenment and staff were extreamly helpful, friendly and welcoming ~ nothing was too much trouble ~ meeting all of our needs. We have no reservation in recommending this hotel and would stay again. Tremendous value for money. Staff were helpful with travel savings and luggage storage too.

Hôtel bien situé à Mestre face à un arrêt de bus menant directement à Venise en environ 20mn. Personnel très agréable et accueillant.
“Good,cheaper base for visiting Venice”
Positives - good value, clean room, room included shower. Was a good base for visiting Venice Negatives - Breakfast was a little dissappointing although it was sufficient. Consisted of a croissant, bread roll, jam and some cereal +tea/coffee.
“Waiting for airport”
We stayed here at the end of our trip to be close to the airport. For that it is fine. I would not stay here for more than a day though unless you are just looking for a cheap place to stay to do day trips to Venice. The area around the hotel was ok, but not the greatest. Good price and clean, but nothing special.
“Location good, suited price range.”
The hotel staff were friendly, and helped with any queries we had, the hotel is in a good location to access Venice cheaper than staying in Venice itself. Bus stops just out the front which makes transport cheap and easy if you do not have a car. We booked this hotel as it included breakfast but the quality and quantity and variety severly lacked and we only had breakfast one time in the 4 days as it was not good. Would stay again, hotel needs to look at chaging the carpet as in our room it had huge black stains everywhere, cleaning starts early so be sure to put a do not disturb time on your door if you want to sleep.
