Situated along the Grand Canal in Venice's Dorsoduro district, this luxury hotel is housed in the restored neo-gothic Palazzo Genovese, built in the late 1800s. The domed Basilica di Santa Maria della Salute, one of Italy's most-photographed churches, is adjacent. “Luxury on the Grand Canal”

“Excellent location”

Hotel was first rate. Breakfast especially was a delight. There was one flaw, however: -- most of the rooms were on two levels - the bed on the highest level, that is, a step up. This is dangerous and I fell. A hotel of this category should correct this default, or at the least make a BIG point of telling the guests to be very very careful, especially at night.

“Très bel hotel, très bonne situation”

L'hôtel est en bordure du grand canal, près de l'église de la Salute (a 1 station en vaporetto de la place St Marc). En plus de sa situation idéale pour visiter Venise, le charme de cette hotel vaut le détour. Le personnel est très accueillant (parle même français) et la chambre très confortable (surtout la grande salle de bain). Il propose certains services très appréciables comme une navette qui vous emmène gratuitement à Murano en passant par les petits canaux de Venise... un luxe plutôt que de prendre le vaporetto. La chambre est faite 2 fois par jour. Bon petit déjeuner dans un joli cadre. Très calme (il faut dire qu'en janvier l'hotel était loin d'être plein)

“A wonderful trip”

The hotel was fabulous - small but luxurious, room facilities excellent with every though to detail. The staff were extremely helpful and courteous. The location is great - 5 minutes walk to the nearest restaurants etc, close to San Marco, but also in a nice quiet spot so felt like an oasis of calm in the courtyard after being in the hectic Riato Bridge area. We would definitely choose this hotel again if we were to return. The only downside was the cost of drinks at the bar which were significantly inflated. However plenty of bars close enough not to make this a problem at all. And at the end of the day, eating breakfast on the Grand Canal every morning is worth it!

“Superb hotel - absolutely delighted”

Everything about the Centurion Palace was superb - from the friendliness and professionalism of the staff to the brilliant combination of modern design with a traditional building. We particularly liked having breakfast on the Hotel's outdoor area on the Grand Canal. Although the hotel is on the south side of the Grand Canal, the nearby trajetto gondola ferry service provided a quick and scenic shortcut to the magnificent Piazza San Marco. After busy days of sight seeing, the hotel provided a calm and attractive environment in which to relax and recharge the batteries. The quiet of the hotel's immediate surroundings were a wonderful tonic to the hustle and bustle of the main tourist areas. There are plenty of places to eat in Venice although we would not recommend the nearby 'Gondolieri' restaurant - very expensive but offering tiny portions of unexciting food. The nearby Guggenheim collection of modern art is well worth a visit - if only to appreciate the differences between ancient and modern. We would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a convenient, relaxing and luxurious place to stay in Venice.

i stayed in venice for 5 days for my honeymoon and im glad i chose this hotel , this is one of the finest hotels in venice if not the best! .. the service was excellent, the staff is really friendly, and the room is great comparable to the other hotels in venice!

Hotel tres agreable, parfaitement situé. Le seul point negatif, les cloches de la Basilique Santa Maria Del Salute tres proche, environ 20m de l'hotel a 6h du matin trop cool !!!! Une station de vaporetto a 20m de l'hotel, de tres bon restos proche de l'hotel tres bon et ayant un bon rapport qualité prix.
