“This is a gem!”

What a cute hotel! The breakfast is to die for. Who would of thought that salami and cheese would make your day. What a find. I highly recommend it. Lido is quiet and peaceful. The staff is nice and helpful.

“Hotel where they look after you!”

Following moneysaving tips found on the internet I chose a hotel on Lido island. The island had a pleasant relaxing slow-pace feeling. The hotel was some 5mins walk from waterbus station, some 200m from the beach, at the other side of Lido island. As the island is not large, we found it without difficulties. We were given a room on the top, 4th floor, with a clear sea view. As it was end of march and still chilly, we noticed there was no heating in the room, but no sooner than we mentioned it to the manager, the big electric heater was radiating warmth in our room! Very helpful staff! Rooms and bathroom were very clean. What was not entirely for my taste was that furniture looked a little oldish, although I think the hotel was trying to give that antique atmosphere, so my opinion is probably subjective. What other people might moan about are beds: our double bed was not very comfortable to sleep on, it felt not only very hard, but also short. However as we were dead tired after a day of exploring, it really had no impact whatsoever on us getting asleep. I would definitely recommend this hotel for those who do not mind having a short walk from the water-bus station (although taxis are always there), and to those who can survive sleeping on a bit hard mattresses. If Expedia offers that good a deal on this hotel again, I am planning to go back for a beach break on Lido!!

“Second Visit”

Quiet location yet near to the beach and restaurants on the Lido. Great value for money and have stayed at the hotel twice. Best way to arrive is by water taxi from the airport, it's not cheap but the route is direct and the ride is amazing. Do you really want to spend 90 mins on the water bus after your flight?

“Lovely local hotel”

We were very pleased with the hotel. It is quaint, but comfortable. Be prepared, there is no air conditioning; but the windows provide adequate ventilation and allow for the scent of freshly cooking croissants to awaken you in the morning. Staff was friendly but English is limited. Very enjoyable.

“Quiet/beautiful surroundings”

It is located on Lido Island. the water bus stop to go to Venice Island is just 10-15min walk. 10min walk to the beach. very quiet and beautiful surroundings. room is clean as room amenities, there is no in-room safe, A/C, bathtub. staff is nice, but English is limited. especially, overnight front desk. do not ask for help. waste time- i just wanted to buy a bottle of water, he did not understand at all. overall, enjoyed stay.

“Good Choice”

It was just as advertised. Quiet, beautiful surroundings, peaceful, and located on the beautiful island of Lido, just a short water bus ride to Venice, Murano, and Burano. Large breakfast buffet in the morning was convenient.

“Hotel Byron, good value stay”

We had two weeks at this Hotel and enjoyed it very much. The staff were very welcoming and helped out when we needed it. The hotel does need some updating but we were very pleased with it and thought it very good value. The breakfast is basic but nice - if you prefer to pig out on a full English then you will be disappointed! The room had a fridge which proved very useful for tea and snacks - we took a kettle! It was a 10 minute walk to the water bus stop so very convenient but off the main street so very quiet. We would return there and recommend Lido as a good base.

“Hotel charmant”

Hotel charmant, un peu désuet. petit déjeuner moyen; plage à 100 metres. Très adapté à une famille avec enfants; facile depuis l'hotel et cette ile pour parcourir Venise et les iles.

“Hot Water”

There was no hot water in the room and the staff didn't apologize or offer to do anything to make it better. They did say they'd "take a look at it" when we left. Besides that the hotel was fine, but a freezing cold shower really dampers a vacation. If you stay here make sure to go to the beach!
