“A Venetian Jewel”
A small 5 minutes walk to Place St-Mark, this hotel is extremely well located. The service is excellent and the breakfast in the morning on the patio watching big private yacht was spectacular.
“Great choice for romantic getaway in Venice”
Excellent hotel, beautifully renovated, with absolutely great views over Venice lagoon. Hotel staff were very pleasant, but not terribly responsive. The heating regulation in our room was broken (couldn't be turned down) and although we asked every day during our 4 days days there to have it fixed, they never did anything about it.
“The best hotel of its size I have ever stayed in, a great find thanks to expedia”
An imaculate hotel with extremely helpful and friendly staff.Service second to none, room spotless and luxurious with great views on three sides overlooking the lagoon. Will definitely return.
“Perfect Location”
Great Hotel Located just out of the tourist area. Short 5 minute walk to st. marks. Beautiful rooms with postcard views. My best memory from the trip will be breakfast on their patio watching venice come to life. Without a doubt the best coffee i've ever had. We had great dinners at a hand full of restaurants on the street to the west.Would go back tonight!
“Great location”
Like most rooms in Venice, the rooms at this hotel are small. However, even with the small size, the rooms are very nice and many have views of the Grand Canal. Our room also had a bathtub, something that is rare in many European destinations. The staff was also exceptionally friendly and helpful. The location is hard to beat. St. Mark's was very close as were several other places to see and eat.
“A great hotel to stay in”
We can highly recommend the Hotel Bucintoro. 10 mins walk from St Mark's Square and in a quiet location overlooking the lagoon. The service in the hotel was excellent and the room, although a little on the small side, was clean and well-equipped. Breakfast was buffet-style with a good selection of cold foods. Hot food was available at an additional cost. If we come back to Venice again, we wouldn't hesitate to stay in the Hotel Bucintoro again.
“Hôtel Bucintoro : bien situé, raffiné et confortable”
Un endroit que je recommande volontiers pour votre séjour à Venise
“A really friendly hotel”
Our stay at this hotel was absolutely fantastic. From the moment we arrived, we were looked after brilliantly. The room was decorated to a high standard and had one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in! Our only complaint about the room is that it did not have a mirror - the only mirrors were in the bathroom. Location was brilliant, slightly away from the main tourist areas so was quiet but still has fantastic views across the lagoon and of St Mark's Square. Would definitely stay here again.
“Great Hotel in Venice”
Hotel Buchintoro was good. Room was clean and front desk was very helpful. i will recommend this hotel.
“Would go back in a heartbeat”
We went to Venice during the middle of Carnavale, not by design, but that's what fit into our schedule. Of course, everything's more expensive then, so compared to the prices of other places we had considered staying, Bucintoro had a very favorable rate so we went for it. I was a little apprehensive because the pics looked so good that I was thinking maybe there was a catch. In all honesty, it's one of the few hotels that looks better in real life than the pics on the internet. Aside from the charming mahogany-trimmed rooms and the wonderful view we had, the location was superb -- a 5 minute walk from St. Mark's square, but not in the center of tourist mayhem. We were delighted that the area in the opposite direction of St. Mark's seemed very non-touristy by comparison, and found a good restaurant in this area favored by locals that was about a two minute walk from the hotel. The staff at Bucintoro was super-friendly as well, so we were 100% pleased with this place.

Area:
Castello, Venice, Italy: Bordering San Marco and the Rialto and stretching east to some of Venices quietest greenest parts, Castello is the citys most varied sestiere. Its most famous aspect is the Riva degli Schiavoni waterfront next to the Bridge of Sighs, with picture-postcard views onto the lagoon. Yet a few yards from the tourist hoards, the backstreets are quiet and typically Venetian. There are many outstanding churches and art collections in this area.
