Great central small hotel

Posted 5-May-2015
Pros: As above
Location: As above
Great stay at this hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful , nothing seemed to be a problem. Small room ,but expected due to character of building. Very clean and comfortable, great breakfast. Centrally located within 7 mins walk of St Marks Square and Rialto bridge. Lots to see and do and lots of good restuarants within 2-10 mins. Really nice recommendations by staff, too many to try. All in all we would return to this hotel.

Good well located hotel

Posted 21-Apr-2015
Pros: It was small and quiet but we could be in amongst the crowds within 5 minutes.
Cons: Nothing I can think of.
Location: Very close to Piazza San Marco with lots of places of interest to visit, shops bars and restaurants.
Enjoyable stay at Hotel Becher. The hotel is quite small but is well situated with good restaurants and bars nearby. We had a standard room however it was a good size and was very clean with a comfortable bed. There was a good choice for breakfast served in the little breakfast room (but we could have had breakfast in our room if we wanted). With a couple of windows looking out onto one of the canals it was a nice surprise to be serenaded on Sunday morning by the musicians on the passing Gondolas. The staff were excellent and couldn't have been more helpful suggesting good places to eat and assisting with map reading!

recent stay in venice

Posted 18-Apr-2015
Lovely hotel with beautiful presentation of room , very spacious room with good facilities. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room would have made it perfect. The desk staff were very helpful and the location of the hotel is perfect with all the main attractions and boat services within ten minute walk. The only down side we felt was the breakfast area was so cramped , better on floor one when open but the downstairs area was like a broom cupboard with non conversing staff which was a shame. The breakfast experience was big let down. Variety of the food was basic buffet and ok but a friendly welcome or smile makes a big difference to us. Otherwise fab weekend away in one room for family of four 10 th April 2015.😄

Great staff

Anna made our stay at Hotel Becher great. She was extremely pleasant and explained Venice to my wife and I, which made our three days there worth while. Room 201 is decorated very nicely. We could hear people talking in the adjoining street, but this was a minor annoyance at night. We would hesitate to return. Nice breakfasts as well.

Great location for exploring Venice

Posted 15-Apr-2015
Pros: Room facilities, location, staff
Cons: Layout of bedroom could be improved, bed set too near the wall and difficult to get in and out of.
Location: Walk, eat, drink, walk eat drink, walk eat and drink in the intoxicating culture. A world without cars - wonderful.
Seriously great location, need to be a good map reader though with the wonderful maze of alleys and 'roads'. Small very friendly hotel, surprisingly good breakfast, comfortable room and good size bathroom.

A charming hotel close to St Mark's Basilica.

Posted 14-Apr-2015
Pros: The comfort, the pleasant staff especially those on the reception desk. It's convenient position for getting out and about.
Cons: Couldn't find an English speaking channel on the tv and the impressive looking water urn in the room took ages to boil water for a cup of tea.
Location: Near to the St Mark's water bus stop, the gondola station, the boats to the islands of Murano and Burano and within walking distance of all the sights
I have been to Venice four times and this was the best hotel that I have stayed at. The hotel was easy to find, a short walk from the St Mark's water bus station. The staff were always pleasant and helpful. Our room had a balcony overlooking the canal and you could watch the gondolas glide past. The room was very well furnished and extremely comfortable. The hotel was near the main square, so it was easy to get about. I would recommend it and hope to return there one day.

Sehr ordentliches Hotel in guter Lage

Posted 11-Apr-2015
