“Good Value. Good Position. Good Service.”

A good quality hotel. Nice position on the Grand Canal, close to the railway station, water bus services, and bus services. Only one bridge to drag your luggage over from the railway station. The room was furnished in the period style, as it should be in Venice. Great service from the staff, especially on the desk. One of the gentlemen we dealt with looked like Richard Gere, and the other was a taller version of Peter Lorre. Both were extremely informative and helpful. They supplied maps and inside information that probably save us a fortune. We were allowed to leave our bags there for a week while we were away on a cruise. This was our second time in Venice, and I would quite happily go back again, and stay at the Antiche Figure Hotel. Actually I think I will.

“Excellent Value for Money”

For an expensive city like Venice, the Hotel Antiche Figure is an excellent choice, offering an extremely comfortable, clean and well maintained room for a fairly good price. It's well located near the entrance of the city and within a walkable distance from all the nice spots. It's right by the main canal (Canal Grande), so you can get to vaporetto straight to Rialto or Piazza San Marco. We followed user's rating and comments on Expedia and they sure were right.

“The only place to stay in Venice!!”

I am so happy to report that all the preceding reviews were accurate. The hotel is just perfect. The world's friendliest staff (nothing is too much), a wonderful, clean and comfortable room, ample breakfast, and ideal location. I only wish there were less steps between the train station and the hotel! Do not even look anywhere else.

“Excellent hotel in Venice”

We thought Hotel Antiche Figure was ideal for our long weekend in Venice. It is ideally located on the Grand Canal no matter how you arrive in the city. 5 minutes walk from the bus station, just across the grand canal from the railway station and close to the airport waterbus stop. This saves dragging your cases further into the town down the maze of tiny streets and across bridges. It is easy to find which is another advantage. We arrived at noon and got a very friendly welcome and were able to check in early. They will store your cases for you if you arrive in the morning before the rooms are ready. The hotel has a lift. The room was impressive with good quality furnishings, marble tiled bathroom and even fabric wallcoverings and was well serviced daily. The king size bed was very comfortable. They serve breakfast (but no other meals) in a breakfast room or if you prefer, and if the weather is fine, at tables outside at the canalside. The bar serves excellent coffees and of course drinks. The waterbus to all the sights stops outside. Overall we thought this was an excellent, well presented and reasonably priced hotel. The staff were eager to please and the location was perfect. We plan to return to Venice and will certainly stay at this hotel again.

“Perfect base to explore Venice”

This hotel truly deserves its excellent ratings. Very convenient location, brlliant customer service, very nice and clean rooms and extremely quiet despite its central location opposite the train station and right on the Canale Grande. It only took us 40 minutes from the airport to dropping our bags in the room - and off we were to explore the city. Perfect base for weekend stays!

“Would choose for next visit to Venice”

My wife and I travelled to hotel by water taxi which conveniently dropped us within 25 meters of the hotel. We walked to everything including train station which we took to Florence when we left. Also handy to free shuttle to cruise ship port which we took on return by train from Florence. Charming hotel charming staff.

“Small Friendly Grand Canal Hotel”

Small delightful hotel with great location on the Grand Canal. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Our group enjoyed having refreshments and people watching on the hotel's outdoor sidewalk tables and chairs. We plan to use this hotel when we return to Venice.

“Great Little Hotel - Great Location”

For those of you that have never been to Venice before this hotel was a great pleasant surprise. It's location was great, right on the Grand Canal across from the train station. A fairly short walk from where taxi's or airport shuttles will drop you its a great location. There is a water taxi stop right across the Grand Canal which gives you easy access to all of Venice and Murano, and the train station is a great landmark when trying to navigate your way around. The room was a good size but we added an additional bed so it was a bit tight, otherwise there was ample space. It has a great little outside bar area where you can relax away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist areas at night. The hotel staff were all extremely friendly and had great recommendations.

“Great Hotel, Great Location, Great Staff”

We were not sure what to expect of this hotel but, from the time we entered until the time we left the service was excellent. The staff were friendly, helpful and so informative. They made us feel so welcome. The hotel was beautifully kept and very clean and so convenient to the Piazzale Roma where the airport bus stops, just few minutes walk.

“Excellent place to stay in Venice.”

We were very pleased with our stay at this hotel. The location is very convenient to the Piazzale Roma, which is convenient when catching a shuttle back to the airport, and overlooks the Grand Canal. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Upon arrival, they marked out a good route to see the best of the city in a day, and started us out with a free water cab to Murano. Later in the day, we asked them for advice on dinner, and they suggested a restaurant and offered to reserve a table for us. The restaurant they suggested was excellent. The rooms were comfortable and well kept, with high ceilings, comfortable beds,and very nice bathrooms. Breakfast was also tasty, with a collection of various pastries, fruit, and cappucino. All in all, we were more than happy with our stay, and would suggest this hotel to others without reservation.
