Pleasant stay at Al Codega

Posted 10-Oct-2014
Pros: Staff friendliness and helpfulness, breakfast spread, convenient location
Cons: Room size is a bit tight.
Location: Only a five minute walk from Rialto Bridge and San Marco. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby.
The hotel is very well located and the staff is extremely pleasant and helpful. The breakfast spread is quite lavish. My only complaint is that the standard room is very small, but that may be fairly typical in Venice. Everything else was very pleasing.

Overpriced hotel with undersized rooms

Posted 6-Oct-2014
Pros: Good location between the Rialto Bridge and St Mark's. The room was quiet, the bed was comfortable and breakfast buffet was nice.
The "superior" room we booked was so small there was no table or lamp on one side of the bed and, more importantly, we feel we were overcharged. Our credit card was charged 21 euros more than the written receipt we were given. We were charged 21 euros more than the couple we traveled with. And an 8 euro tax was added even though we were told that taxes were included.

Great Hotel - Better than expected

Posted 29-Sep-2014
Pros: Great Location. Halfway between Rialto Bridge and St. Marks Square.
Cons: Difficult to find at first but directions on website got us there with little problem.
We stayed two nights in Venice and wanted to be right in the middle of the action .. and we were. Great location, very clean, great staff, and great breakfast (included). All in all it was a great value. At first it was difficult to find as the entrance is off of an interior courtyard but I think it added to the charm. Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic Place to Stay

Posted 28-Sep-2014
Location very good to walk anywhere in Venice. Staff welcoming, friendly and always helpful. Although close to the busy Rialto Bridge and St. Mark's Square it was very quiet tucked away in a lovely small courtyard. Room was spotless and bed comfortable. Excellent breakfast - good selection of superb food. Would definitely recommend this hotel without hesitation.

Hard to find, but a great central location!

Posted 27-Sep-2014
Central location, although difficult to find, only a 5 min walk from St Mark's Square. Staff were very helpful, providing a great map and useful suggestions. Made a great effort at breakfast. Room was a small, but quality of everything was good - especially the rain shower!

BEST OF THE BEST IN VENICE

Posted 21-Sep-2014
This hotel is worth every penny you spend for it. The rooms are clean, nicely decorated, and spacious. Wood floors, nice bathrooms, and cleanliness added to the comfort. The hotel was easy to find with the maps provided, the staff welcoming and very helpful, and the hotel was quiet. Their breakfast was gourmet, with many choices and very good service and food quality. We've been to Venice three times, and this hotel ranks as our #1 choice in the city.
