Quaint and simply lovely

Posted 12-Nov-2014
Pros: Location, location, location
Cons: N/A
Location: Shopping district, San Marcos Square, Rialto, and many gondola stops where you can pick and choose which vendor you want to go with.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the hotel. Tucked away in a quiet courtyard near the shopping district, the hotel is conveniently located, close to Rialto and San Marcos Square (both are 5 - 10 minute walk depending on your walking pace). The hotel staff is extremely friendly, helpful, and knowledgable which made the stay extra special. The room is also very comfortable and filled with the necessary amenities that will make your stay as pleasant as can be, I would definitely be choosing this hotel when I return to Venice in the near future.

Great hotel

Posted 3-Nov-2014
Pros: Wonderful, polite and helpful staff available 24-7. Great full breakfast, but I think they should open earlier than 7:30AM. Very happy with hotel.
Location: As previously mentioned, great location.
Great hotel. Hard to find, but we asked other hotels for location and finally found it. Nice courtyard and quiet location between Rialto Bridge and San Marco Square. Ended up being a great location.

Excellent situation

Posted 1-Nov-2014
Pros: Its position, The friendly staff and the comfort of the room. The breakfast was very good
Cons: everything was fine.
Location: The Rialto Bridge & St Mark's Square are 10 mins max from hotel. Good eateries close by. Can recommend Black Jacks near hotel off St Luca Square.
Fabulous position close to the Rialto Bridge & St Mark's Square. The Hotel was very comfortable and the staff fantastic. We asked reception for recommendations on where to eat and they didn't let us down. Venice is the most remarkable city and to have this hotel as a base is just idea. When we go back we will stay at Al Cordega again.

Perfect hotel in the perfect spot.

Posted 28-Oct-2014
Pros: The breakfast was wonderful. A large selection of delicacies including non-meat choices. The rooms were spacious and modern for Venice standards.
Location: The Al Codega is a challenge to find, but so is everything in Venice. It is worth the search. Just far enough from St. Marks to miss some of the crowd
The Al Codega made our Venice stay very nice. The hotel is modern, the breakfast was wonderful and the staff was very helpful.

Nice quiet place

Posted 26-Oct-2014
Pros: Good and plentiful breakfast
Location: About half way between Rialto and St. Marks, but out of the way.
Rooms were tight, but did have a king size bed. Bathrooms are small. No bar or lounge facilities

Nice 4-star hotel in excellent location

Posted 18-Oct-2014
Pros: Location, staff and personalization.
Cons: Nothing that I can think of.
Location: The location was ideal. It seemed that all of the major attractions were within easy walking distance or a quick vaporetto ride away.
Hotel Al Codega is in an excellent location--about a 5 minute walk from St. Mark's as well as the Rialto Bridge. The staff was extremely helpful and did everything they could to make our stay a pleasant experience. We stayed there for two days at the beginning of the trip and one day at the end. We had reserved the standard double for both stays, but they upgraded us on our return visit at the end of the trip. The standard room is on the small side, but the room one level above standard is much more spacious with a more spacious bathroom as well. We would definitely go back. I recommend reserving one level above the standard room. The breakfast that is included is also very nice and includes both hot and cold options.

Pleasant stay at Al Codega

Posted 10-Oct-2014
Pros: Staff friendliness and helpfulness, breakfast spread, convenient location
Cons: Room size is a bit tight.
Location: Only a five minute walk from Rialto Bridge and San Marco. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby.
The hotel is very well located and the staff is extremely pleasant and helpful. The breakfast spread is quite lavish. My only complaint is that the standard room is very small, but that may be fairly typical in Venice. Everything else was very pleasing.

Overpriced hotel with undersized rooms

Posted 6-Oct-2014
Pros: Good location between the Rialto Bridge and St Mark's. The room was quiet, the bed was comfortable and breakfast buffet was nice.
The "superior" room we booked was so small there was no table or lamp on one side of the bed and, more importantly, we feel we were overcharged. Our credit card was charged 21 euros more than the written receipt we were given. We were charged 21 euros more than the couple we traveled with. And an 8 euro tax was added even though we were told that taxes were included.

You paied the amount stated in the booking you made with Expedia. The city tax is never included in the room rate, as stated on our page on Expedia.
