Cons:

Posted 26-Mar-2015
Pros:

Would definitely stay here again.

Posted 25-Mar-2015
Pros: Great location, fabulous breakfast, friendly staff.
Can't think of anything negative to say about this hotel. We stayed for five nights and we loved it. Our room wasn't large (I think this is normal for Venice) but it had everything you need and was very clean and comfortable. The staff are very friendly and helpful (the young lady in the breakfast room worked particularly hard). Breakfast was totally delicious and there was so much choice! The hotel is just a few minutes walk from St Mark's square (leave the square diagonally opposite from the Campanile, go past the gondola rank and the Hard Rock Cafe, over two bridges (I think) and you're there. We found it easier to find from the San Marco canal stop than Rialto.

An Island of Calm

Posted 16-Mar-2015
Pros: The location. Halfway between Rialto and San Marco, yet hidden it it's own quiet courtyard.
Al Codega is a lovely refuge from the hustle and bustle of Venice. Every time we returned from walking about, we'd utter a relaxing "sigh" as we went through the tunnel to the peaceful courtyard. The staff were all extremely helpful and enthusiastic. We'd stay here again if and when we return to Venice.

Hôtel chaleureux

Posted 16-Mar-2015

Amazing breakfast, close to Rialto and Saint Mark's. Not the swankiest hotel but had an excellent experience.

Hôtel très bien situé

Posted 27-Feb-2015

Nice quiet hotel in a central location!

Posted 10-Feb-2015
Pros: Everything
Cons: Really nothing.
The hotel was very nice. Staff was very helpful in recommendations, taxi ordering and any other thing we needed. Breakfast was very good - both choices and quality were excellent. The hotel is located in a quite area inside a courtyard, but it is centrally located, about 5 minute walk to San Marco and 8 minutes to the Rialto Bridge. Its a little longer if you are wading through 10 inches of water :-) The hotel is a little hard to find if you are unprepared or come at night. I recommend to get the map from the hotel beforehand, and watch the Youtube vidoes on walking there. There is a great restaurant just around the corner (Al Mercanti) and another excellent one 3 minutes walk - Bistro De Venice.

Good location, clean rooms with friendly staff

Posted 3-Feb-2015
This hotel lies half way between St Marks Square and the Rialto bridge. The rooms are clean and decorated in the Venetian style. All the staff were very helpful and the breakfast was very good and varied. My only criticism would be that it is very difficult to find (hidden down an archway from the street) and the bathroom was small.

Excellent Hotel in the heart of Venice

Posted 1-Feb-2015
Pros: Location, Staff, Cleanness
Cons: WiFi connection was very poor in my room. It wasn't that important to me but it might be to others. A device called WiFi repeater can solve the issue.
Location: It is very close to San Marco Piazza, Rialto bridge and Academia bridge, just few minutes walk away.
I was really pleased to stay at this hotel for seven nights. Its very convenient location in Venice was a huge plus to me. My purpose of visit was photography and I could walk just few minutes every morning to the prime spots, and very late nights coming back. Besides the location, hotel staffs were very friendly, helpful and polite. I had a very pleasant stay.
