Very happy customerPosted 14-Aug-2014
Friendly & helpful staff. Very clean & comfortable, wifi included & lift helpful with heavy luggage. Good breakfast available with variety. Only thing to fault was a little hard to find as it is tucked away a few blocks from st marks square. Overall would recommend to anyone.

A Good LocationPosted 12-Aug-2014
Pros: Great location, Clean and well presented, quiet.
Location: It's Venice so masses to do and see.
A very well run and friendly hotel in a very convenient spot in San Marco. Quiet at night and was exactly what we were hoping for. Make sure you print out a map of exactly where the hotel is on a map as it was hard to find first time.

Hidden gemPosted 6-Aug-2014
Pros: location, staff, breakfast
Cons: Italian law doesn't allow ironing in rooms. Please provide some kind of pressing or ironing service!
Location: San Marco square, rialto bridge
We loved this hotel. It is hidden in a quiet courtyard 5 minute walk from the main square and rialto bridge. Breakfast was great. The staff were friendly and helpful - they were able to recommend a number of restaurants for me and also called on our behalf to make a reservation. Top notch restaurant terrace overlooking the main canal. The room was also fantastic, great decor and spacious for Venice.

Great location, excellent staffPosted 26-Jul-2014
Location: The San Marco neighborhood is full of life, history, culture, and art, and offers countless dining and shopping options as well.
The Al Codega is a fine, affordable hotel in the heart of Venice. It is only a few minutes away from both St. Mark's Square and the Rialto Bridge. Although it is centrally located, the hotel is set in a quiet courtyard, and so there is no issue with noise, day or night. Just as it would be difficult to beat the location of Hotel Al Codega, it would also be difficult to top the quality of their staff. From the moment we arrived, we were treated kindly by the young woman who staffs the front desk each afternoon. Lorenza, who staffs the desk in the morning, was especially generous and attentive throughout our stay, always greeting us with a smile and making us feel at home.

Centrally located in Venice near Marco PlazaPosted 8-Jul-2014
Pros: It was reflective of the Venetian atmosphere, which was comfortable, well air conditioned with great staff. We felt secure and safe, and central.
Cons: Improved signage, if possible, as there is a small arch blocking the hotel name from the street which becomes visible only after you have entered.
Location: The area was close to the Grand Canal, Rivolta bridge as well as Marco Square. Along the route were restaurants, shops, gondolas and lots of canals.
We found it a challenge to locate the hotel, without the aid of on line guidance with maps, and almost found it without help from the locals. We found the hotel attractive, modern with all amenities. Staff were helpful, informative and gracious. We were able to manage moving our luggage through the narrow streets and with a minimum of bridges, achieved access to water taxis to ship, and from the airport. Breakfast had a good selection of items and adequate to keep one satisfied until evening. We would stay here again, and have no concerns.

Friendly hotel close to everything.Posted 21-Jun-2014
Excellent and very helpful staff. The buffet breakfast was lovely. Tucked away from the busy streets, but close to all of the main attractions. We had a wonderful stay. Would stay there again.

Staff was helpful, but be sure to iron your clothes before staying here. There is no iron at all.

Nice Hotel close to everythingPosted 11-Jun-2014
Pros: The breakfast included was very nice with a wonderful assortment. Also like that the shower and toilets are in separate rooms.
Cons: A little hard to find but there is always a local nearby willing to help you and lead you right there if you don't mind giving him 1 or 2 euros
Location: Walking everywhere is easy to the Grand Canal with shopping and restaurants and St. Marks Square to see the Basilica and all the charms of the Square.
Lovely hotel amid the charms of Venice. Just about midway between Grand Canal and St Marks Square.

Nice hotel perfect location for exploring.Posted 10-Jun-2014
Pros: The location was Perfect and staff were very helpfull.
Cons: The hotel could be more helpful with transfers to the Airport. These are better arranged yourself.
Location: Lots of bars restaurants and shops nearby. Just around the corner from the main Gondola stop.
Hotel is close to both St Marks Square and the Rialto Bridge. Situated in a Quite courtyard ensures a good nights sleep. The buffet breakfast is comprehensive and sets you up for a day exploring Venice.
