Nice hotel right in the center

Posted 15-May-2015
Pros: the location is great.
Cons: This is a small friendly family run business, it has everything that you need for a great stay.
Location: The hotel is right in the middle of the tourist area of Venice - 5 min walk in any direction gets you to cafes, bars & resturants.
This family run hotel is located right in the heart of the main tourist area of Venice, almost equal distance to St Marcs Square and the Rialto Bridge, not the easiest place to find 1st time but once you get there the hotel is really clean & friendly, the rooms are not the biggest, but for the time you spend in them this is not an issue, the bathroom was very modern & clean and the whole place is really well looked after, the breakfast had plenty of choice and the staff could not do enough to make our stay very welcoming.

Beautiful hotel in private little courtyard

Posted 12-May-2015
Pros: Great location, quiet, clean
Cons: There was confusion when booking with Expedia over twin beds so ended up having a double bed but was very large anyway so not a problem in the end.
Location: Near the square, Rialto bridge, Grand Canal. Everything was basically easily accessible.
Lovely hotel, little difficult to find but everything was as I had previously read on the website. Friendly staff, great breakfast and very personal.

Very clean and quiet hotel, central location

Posted 30-Apr-2015
Pros: Location, newly renovated, cleanness, friendly staff
Cons: They could provide a better map/instruction to find the hotel at arrival.
Location: Easily to walk everywhere, such as Rialto Bridge and San Marco square.
Our family had a very good time at this hotel. Staffs were very friendly and helpful, they gave us some good recommendations of local restaurants. They offered a very nice variety of breakfast options. The hotel located in a quiet courtyard surrounded by busy streets. We stayed on the 4th floor, and could not hear the street noises. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Nice comfortable hotel ideally positioned

Posted 25-Apr-2015
Pros: Good staff who were very helpful with travel and tourism advice, very good breakfasts, quiet at night but central location for getting about.
Cons: Staff sometimes slow in clearing breakfast crockery as result of big influx of hotel guests from boat trip.
Location: Quiet courtyard, lots of shops nearby and all the main attractions within easy reach. Gondolas, Basilica, Doge Palace, San Marco and museums near by
Hotel is small and comfortable, very good breakfasts and interested helpful staff in a superb location. It is in a quiet little courtyard, right in the middle of the Venice map, so getting around on foot is very easy, 5 minutes to Rialto, 5 minutes to Piazza San Marco, but nicely quiet at night. We had no difficulty locating the hotel, having done on-line research first. We loved Venice despite all the crowds. We visited the main places, Basilica, Doge Palace, Royal appartments museums and did the island trips, Murano, Burano, Torchello, Lido, Grand Canal. Piazza San Marco was always busy but entertaining with the very good small orchestras playing live music at the cafes, with other events such as regional folklore/dance competitions as well there was always something interesting going on. We went to a fantastic concert of operatic arias in a superb theatre put on by international class singers and orchestra, brilliant. Food and drink, and virtually everything else, is usually more expensive than imagined, but the experience of Venice is not to be missed. Eight days flew by but were well worth it. If you like shops, history, architecture, fine glass, car-free environment and so much to see and do that you probably cannot see or do it all then Venice is a good destination.

Very comfortable hotel, quiet location.

Posted 12-Apr-2015
Pros: As above.
Cons: Nothing.
Location: Our recommendation would be to buy a pass for the vaporetti (we bought a 7 day pass to cover the 5 days we were in Venice).
My partner and I have just returned from a 4 night visit to Venice, our first t to this amazing city, made all the more memorable by staying at the Al Codega. The staff could not have been more helpful, friendly and attentive. Our room was of a high standard, with a comfortable bed, additional seating area with tea and coffee making facilities and a well fitted bathroom. The room was also very clean. The buffet breakfast was excellent with an excellent selection of high quality hot and cold foods. The pastries were particularly delicious. We hope to return to Venice many times in the future, having enjoyed our time there so much and would have no hesitation in booking the AlCodega again.

Good stay!

Posted 9-Apr-2015
Pros: Service and breakfast!
Cons: Rooms are a little small (yet not much they could do over this), hotel looks a bit old, probably is, but it is well maintained. Overall god!
Location: Very well located....in the heart of Venice. I would definitely recommend it!
Hotel is not incredible, but its safe, clean and good service. For a quick stay is more than enough! Breakfast buffet was very nice! Overall my experience was very good! Rooms are a bit small and the hotel is a bit old, but kept well.

リアルトとサン・マルコに近く立地は最高です。入口が分かりにくく探すのに手間取りました。事前にネットで画像を見て確認しておけばよかったです。朝食がすばらしい!またベネツィアに行くことがあれば是非利用したいと思います。

Lovely hotel in centre of San Marco district

Posted 8-Apr-2015
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing everything was great.
Location: Equidistant from San Marco and Rialto Bridge.
All the staff in the hotel were very helpful and friendly. In particular Lorenza, who helped our daughter arrange a surprise of champagne and chocolates to arrive in our hotel room on the morning of our 50th wedding anniversary. This really made our holiday, thanks to everyone.
