Room Amenities
Rooms
The Hotel ai Mori d'Oriente, Venice, offers 55 guestrooms in a three-story building with a pale-brick exterior, Byzantine pointed-arch windows on the second floor, classic Venetian bottle-glass windows on the second floor, brown shutters, and wrought-iron balconies with flower boxes.
Decorated in the Veneto-Byzantine style that flourished as Venice dominated trade with the East, rooms feature high ceilings with stucco moldings, damask wall coverings, floral-paper light shades, gilt-frame mirrors, and Byzantine pointed arches between entryways and bedrooms. Upholstered headboards have pointed arches. Color schemes vary, but all rooms include carpeting and walnut trim.
Contemporary tile bathrooms include heated towel racks, shower/tub combinations, and French toiletries by Etro. Each room contains a desk, a small dining table, and two chairs.
Dining
A complimentary cold buffet breakfast is provided each morning in a breakfast room with pale-green walls, walnut trim, and linen-draped tables. Warm-weather seating in a tile courtyard with outdoor umbrella tables.

Recreation
The Lido of Venice, the slender, 11.5-km-long (7.25-mile) island facing the Adriatic Sea that lies a 30-minute waterbus ride from the hotel, is the city's playground, especially in summer when beaches and water sports draw visitors and Venetians. Year-round, visitors rent bicycles to explore the island, play golf, or take horseback rides. Aside from fishing in the canals, the central city offers little in the way of recreational opportunities. Deep-sea fishing is available in the Adriatic Sea.
The recreational activities listed below are available either on site or near the hotel; fees may apply.

“would definatly reccomend”
I liked the fact that if was in a quieter location but still only 15/20 mins walk from st. Marks. It was great to get back in the evening and enjoy a final cocktail outside by the canal.
“Great base for exploring Venice”
Within five minutes' walk of a water bus stop, access to the city's shoreline is convenient from this hotel. There are local restaurants that serve good food at reasonable prices (the hotel is expensive for food and drink). The area is pleasant for walking - interesting, colourful and safe. The hotel staff are very helpful and can give you good advice about travel in the city, shopping etc. The breakfast is fantastic (it sets you up for the day) and the rooms spotlessly clean and nicely appointed. The air conditioning is a boon (but don't forget to turn it off when you are out - help the planet).
“Completely satisfied”
We only spent one night at the hotel, but it fulfilled all our requirements; quiet, not too far from the railway station, pleasant service. The room was a bit of a walk from reception, but very clean and comfortable - lovely bathroom. Breakfast was varied and plentiful. All staff very polite and friendly; we had tried to learn a few Italian phrases, but their English was excellent. No complaints at all, we would use this hotel again.
“Great place to stay in Venice!”
Our hotel was great. The room is cozy, however the bathroom is somewhat small. Be aware of the extremely small shower stall - an average person barely can fit into it. Airconditioning was great and the hotel was clean. Excellent breakfast bar and service.
“Nice quiet hotel in Venice”
This hotel was a lovely hotel in a quiet area in Venice. It was easy to access via the 41/42 or 51/52 or Airport ferries. It was approx 2 blocks from the main avenue in Venice and is near some nice restaurants and bars. The rooms are fairly small but comfortable and the staff were very helpful. Breakfast was included as was free 30mins of Internet. If you can get around on the Ferry system in Venice then this place is great as it is a little off the beaten track. Our advice is not to go to the restaurant just down from the hotel as the food is terrible and a rip off. Instead stick to the restaurants closer to the main strip in town.
“Hard to fault”
A really great hotel - clean, friendly and comfortable
“Quiet and charm”
This is a terrific location, away from the hordes but an easy walk to Fondamenta Nove and the vaporetti to the islands etc.The hotel itself is charming. Although the room, looking out onto blank walls was a little claustrophobic there are plenty of open spaces to sit and relax.
“Voyage en amoureux”
trés bel hôtel, personnels térs qccueillant parlant trés bien le français, les chambres sont trés propres. le petit déjeuner est à volonté et complet. l'hôtel est trés bien situé à 30 mn de l'aéroport en bateau (alilaguna). trés bon rapport qualité/prix. A recommander
“Would definitely recommend!”
This hotel is a real gem! It was decorated in beautiful venetian style and was equiped to a very high standard The roooms were quite spacious considering that we were staying in a city with lovely little touches such as cards detailing the daily weather forecast and chocolates or sweets left in the room each day. The complimentary breakfast was excellant with more than enough choice. The bar has a excellant range of drinks and cocktails. The hotel is situated in a quiet area but only five minutes walk from a good choice of restuarants, bars and shops. It was lovely to return here after a full day of sight seeing in the Venice crowds! The main attractions of Venice are easy reached on foot or by the vaparetto. We arrived late on a rainy cold night and the hotel wasn't particulary easy to find but trying to navigate around the narrow streets and canals of Venice is part of the experience! One tip - take a small pocket torch to help you map read at night as trying to read a map under street lights can be difficult.
“Hotel très bien situé à l'écart de la foule, dans un quartier calme”
Personnel très professionnel. Cadre agréable et reposant
