“A Great Place to Stay”

I must say, I was very impressed with La Comedia. The hotel service was excellent, everyone spoke wonderful English, and were extremely helpful. The frontdesk arranged for my wife and I a Gondola ride (without the lines), and when we had a few hours to kill (waiting to catch a train) after our checkout, they watched our luggage while we enjoyed our last hours in Venice! In addition, the rooms are very nice, and up to date, complete with all the modern conveniences (internet access, flat screen tv, great air conditioning). They also have an awesome roof top terrace bar which we loved...Venice is so crowded, its often tough to find a place to chill out and have a beer without the masses bumping into you. This terrace was the perfect place to relax and breathe and reflect, and take in an evening drink or two (also has a nice view of the bell tower in St. Mark's square)

“Super Hotel”

The hotel was very clean and the room was very comfortable. The staff were always friendly and always accomodated us and our son without fuss. The roof terrace is a great place to watch people meandering through the winding streets and the location is excellent, well within walking distance of the Rialto Bridge and St Marks Square. Will definitely return.

“Fantastic Hotel added to a Great Holiday Experience”

3 minutes walk from the Rialto Bridge and 5 minutes walk from St Marco, yet this hotel is in a quiet street where no noise whatsoever intruded in to our beautiful rooms (two doubles). Fully air conditioned and luxuriously appointed, we have nothing but praise for A La Commedia. The staff were at all times friendly and helpful; breakfast was excellent with a wide choice of fruit, cereal, cooked meats, cheese, bread, croissants and pastries. Cooked breakfast items were available daily, on request, for a small extra charge. The hotel also boasted a beautifully presented roof terrace with its own bar for relaxing in the evenings. Staff on the front desk arranged for a Gondola trip at a reduced rate, advising us on the best time of day, and taking us to our Gondola at the appointed time. Cheap 24 hour wireless Internet, charged purely on a usage basis (i.e. not 24 hours from the first time you logged on), rounded out pretty well a perfect package. The hotel proved to be an excellent base for a great holiday. If you have got this far you will know we thoroughly recommend it, and would stay there again without hesitation.

As a seasoned traveller who has stayed in soem of the best hotels in the world, I can honesty say that A La Commedia Hotel is up there with the best. A very well designed and comfortable hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. What seperates this hotel from most of the others is the attention to detail and the dedication of the staff to ensuring that your stay is as comfortable as you can get. Just one example is when both my wife and I were looking for a particular restaurant but couldn't find it (not difficult in Venice) a member of staff rather than provide directions by map actually took us to the restaurant. We would not hesitate to recommend this hotel and we can't wait to go back.

“Peace and refinement.”

We went to venice in April and the Commedia hotel is great. When you have walked as much as you can round the tiny streets of venice and took in the beauty of this fantastic and romantic city, It was great to retreat back into this quiet and relaxing hotel at the end of the day for a couple of night caps before retiring for the night.

“A peaceful place to settle after a busy day in Venice”

This Hotel was superb! Excellant service, excellant clean remodelled rooms, great bathrooms with a clean luxurious tub and marble everywhere. The hotel is off the main streets on a quiet square that is easy to find and close to Rialto bridge. The service is first class and the breakfast was great as compared to others. We had 2 woung kids and the location and convenience for us was great. I highly recommend it.

The hotel is perfectly located and the rooms are great. Really clean lovely bathroom. I would fully reccomend this hotel. Yes the breakfast is slightly limited but that is quite common in Europe.

“WOW, Great Hotel!!”

After researching for over 20 hours for a Venice hotel, we finally chose the A La Commedia & am glad we did. The location is a short walk from the water taxi on Grand Canal through a small walkway. We stayed for 2 nights at the A La Commedia & found the hotel to be absolutely fantastic!!! The room was exactly like the photos on Expedia, very romantic & the personal touches such as bed turn-down & personal foot rugs exceeded our expectations. The front staff was very helpful & friendly. Can't wait to return!!!

“a lovely surprise!”

Our room at A la Commedia was delightful, the beds were comfortable, bathroom good, and everything spotlessly clean. Service second to none. Breakfast so good we didn't need lunch! Roof terrace a welcome break after sightseeing. Hotel central and easy to get to. Altogether first class.
