“gem venetia”
excellent location , less than 5 mins to the rialto bridge. All staff very friendly and helpful. good knowledge of typical tourist attractions and locality . room 205 good size and very quiet we both slept very well ! . breakfast each day more than adequate. better than a lot of european hotels that we have stayed in.We did not eat dinner at the hotel so cannot comment but this did seem a little pricey ! , could not fault the three days that we stayed here and could highly recommend to others this gem of a venetian hotel
“Un pure moment de bonheur !”
Très bonne accueil, le personnel est souriant et disponible. A essayer : Avant de reprendre le vaploreto pour l'aéroport, commandez un cappucino au bar de l'hôtel :o)
“Delighted!”
This is the third time we have stayed at the hotel and it was as excellent as ever. The staff are really helpful and friendly and the room was lovely. If anything breakfast has improved although we thought it had been excellent anyway on our previous two stays. The location is ideal for arriving by the Alilaguna and for exploring the city from. We will definitely be returning again next year.
“Great central Modern Hotel”
Hotel had a nice room and was in a good location around 2 min walk from the Rialto Bridge. Staff were helpful, issued maps and gave good directions, spoke English and also booked restaurants etc for us. Would stay again. Well decorated and up to date Hotel with some nice touches, such as the little reading lights on small stalks either side of the bed. Bathroom spotless, and beds turned down in the evening with chocolates on the pillow.
“Perfect in every way! Read for an honest review!”
After much research and reading reviews on Trip Advisor my friend and I decided to book two nights at the fantastic La Commedia Hotel. from the moment that we arrived at the Hotel we were very well looked after and were delighted to learn that we had a complimentary upgrade to a Junior Suite ( room 210). In my opinion the Hotel should be listed as a boutique hotel as the attention to detail, decor, cleanliness, customer service and genera amenities are of an excellent standard. We chose the Hotel due to it's ideal location - literally a 10 second walk to the Grand Canal and Rialto Bridge and 5 minute walk to St Marks Square. Lorrenzo on Reception spoke excellent English and could not have been more helpful. Although our stay in Venice was short, we had an excellent time which in part, I am confident to say, was down to the accommodation provided by the Hotel Commedia. Should we return to Venice in the future I have no doubt that we would return to the Hotel Commedia. Thank you for making our stay so perfect!!
“Classy but friendly”
I would highly recommend this hotel - the location is superb and the friendliness of the staff helped to make our visit to Venice even more magical.
“PARFAIT”
Conclusion: parfait pour rester quelques jours à Venise.
“Excellent friendly service”
We spent four nights at the Hotel a la Commedia and the staff were friendly, helpful and courteous at all times. We experienced a fault with the lighting in our bathroom on the first night and when this could not be fixed immediately (it was a Sunday) they promptly moved us to an upgraded room with minimal inconvenience to ourselves. The hotel is ideally located only a few steps from the Rialto Bridge but as it is set back from the waterside is peaceful at night. Staff were knowledgable and helpful, kept us advised of available tours and excursions without making us feel like we were being harassed to purchase and we felt extremely well looked after throughout our stay. Although the hotel does not have its own restaurant there were numerous restaurants in the immediate area including two extremely good options in the square in front of the hotel. We would be happy to recommend this hotel and use it again for future visits to Venice.
“un service impeccable”
Tres bien situé (entre la place saint marc et le pont du rialto), le service est impeccable et l'accueil chaleureux, tous parlent français.

Area:
San Marco, Venice, Italy: San Marco (St Marks) is quintessential visitors Venice. The Piazza San Marco, famous for its pigeons, campanile, basilica, Palazzo Ducale (Doges Palace) and expensive cafes, is unmissable. The waterfront views are legendary and more gondolas depart from here than anywhere else in the city. In season the Piazza teems with day trippers though just a block or two away streets are quiet and offer more museums and palaces to explore.
