“close to airport”

Our main objective was to be close to the airport because taking a flight early in the morning, we had a good shuttle service to airport. Over that we found out when we checked in that it's easy to get downtown venice taking a bus for 2.60 euros each. We also used restaurant next door, good service, good food and reasonnable prices. Hotel recommanded 100%. We would go back tomorrow.

Area recommendations

To visit venice it is better to have an hotel located near the attractions like close to the train station or the grand canal or san marco place but waiting.

“Great Hotel if you are looking for convenience to Airport”

After a 12 day cruise we stayed one extra night in Venice before boarding a plane the next morning. This hotel worked out fantastically well. It is located five minutes to the airport and provides free airport shuttle. Remember to reserve the shuttle for the morning of your departure, since it books up. But they were willing to do an extra run for us, without any problem. The Number 5 bus to downtown Venice is right across the street (2.40 Euros round trip). There is a great Capuccino bar in the hotel with fantastic pastries (and very reasonable). Overall a fantastic place to stay if you are in Venice for a short time and want great access to the airport. Highly recommended.

Area recommendations

Every part of Venice is fabulous. Just get lost walking and you will be happy. Also buy the 12 hour Vaporetti pass and explore the Grand Canal, Murano and Burano are a must. Go to the top of the tower at St Marks to watch the sun set. It is expensive (8 Euros per person) but worth it for the magnificent view. Venice is magical.

“Very convenient airport hotel”

Not the hotel you pick for your vacation, but convenient location next to the airport. Hotel restaurant was a bit disappointing, but there aren't any choices around.

“Great Place to Stay Near Venice & The Airport”

We came from a cruise at 6:30am and the front office staff were very helpful with luggage storage and directions into Venice via a bus that stops right across the street and travels to where you can catch the water bus on the Grand Canal .. they even had the land bus tickets for us to buy! Our room was ready w/luggage already there when we got back from a great day in the city... I would recommend this hotel to other travelers in a flash!

Land bus right across the street ... Can't remember the hotel right before this for your return trip, but ask the desk, then press the stop button when you see it!

Other reviewers have talked about a great pizza restoronte, which the hotel staff said was now closed :( ... But we found a wonderful take-out Pizzaria almost next door ... we had a stromboli & split it, as it was HUGE and DELICIOUS! The fellow who was 'flying' the pizzas was a great entertainer, too!

“A night from Venice.”

For transfers to the airport itsexcellent. You could walk if there was a sidewalk about 1000feet. The hotel was immaculate. the airport transfers were very good on the 1/2 hour. There was no continental breakfast or coffee available. The bus stops right in front and forE1.20. you can get to Venice in twenty minutes.

Area recommendations

For a transfer to the airport this hotel is excellent. To see Venice from a distance its ok. If you never been to venice, stay on the island, to experience the walk.

“We'll stay somewhere else!”

Airport shuttle, check in and check out process very disappointing. Otherwise the htel is up to the usual good Marriott standard.

Area recommendations

Stay in walking distance of Piazzo Romano in Venice proper rather then in a suburb like Tessaro. You'll see more of Venice and save taxi fares!

“Positive experience”

Front desk staff was very helpful upon check in; a room was ready at 10:00 a.m. when we checked in. The room was fairly large, clean and comfortable. Bathroom was nice but could have used better lighting. On-site restaurant was excellent. Transportation to the airport the next morning was on-time and very efficient.

“"Would highly recomend"”

I would highly recommend the hotel to everyone. The location is great, the staff very friendly and helpful, the rooms are very clean are the hotel common areas. I found no faults whatsoever. I would stay again in the future

The airport area is very quaint and surprisingly quiet. it is very easy to use the public transportation and economical.

Getting around

The local bus pick up point was across the street from the hotel. The hotel actually sells the bus tickets from the front desk. The bus takes you all the way to Venice island to the main depot where you can take the train, water taxi or public buses.

“most excellent location and comfort”

You are very near the airport, which is why we were there, but can take an under 2 euro RT bus to roma piazzzale, and access Venice easily. we stayed after a cruise to ease getting on an international flight at the crack of dawn, and it was worth the somewhat high price. Free shuttle to the airport, our guy left before 5am to get us to the airport ahead of the crowds, which is only 10 minutes max away from the hotel. there were at least 8 other couples from the cruise taking advantage of this scenario. Worth it for the ease of travel! M&J
