“Good location - building very old and in need of a structural engineer!”

We visited in June 2011, Venice is very beautiful and the location of this hotel is very central. We stayed 2 nights and the hotel met our needs, we slept there and had breakfast there but spent the entire day and evening in Venice, exploring and having fun - so our time there was limited to showering (very small shower), sleeping and eating breakfast...this was fine for a 1 star hotel. The only 3 major concerns that I had were: 1. I was extremely worried that our floor would fall through to the front desk below, because there is an extremely large crack in the floor that they unsuccessfully covered with a carpet. 2. There was a garbage recycling company next to the hotel, so we were awaken by the noise of this company in the very early hours, and there was a lot of boat engine noises through the night. 3. The hotel is extremely hard to find. I had to rely on the assistance of local store owners to help me find the hotel. TIP: If you find the Disney Store, go the the right alley and keep walking - it's a 1 minute walk from the Disney Store.
